SIM card rejection

My name is Maaz.I m an Indian. I stay in Pune.
See i have a new phone Nokia5300 through which i cant get access to my Indian SIM card. That Phone is a gift from my Uncle who stays in Londan. The phone is askin for a T Mobile code i.e international mobile code.

So please help me out through this problem, because i have been to Nokia priority shop and they are askin for Rs.2500/- to give a code.

Please help out.....and if u know the code please send it to me.
