Yes, it is possible to change out the lcd screen on a digital camera. What I did in the past, is I purchased a non-functioning camera same brand/model from e-Bay. Trick is, you have to make sure and ask the seller if the LCD screen is infact working. If you explain to them exactly what you want to do, they should be fairly upfront with you about it. A lot of times, cameras fail for many reason and if the failure is mechanical, then you'll be in luck. The LCD to most cameras these days is attached by a thin ribbon that connects it to the component board on the camera. I hope that helps! Best of Luck!

Help! Cracked LCD display on Canon Rebel xti

Had the same problem myself, I purchased a new lcd from ebay (user name: ProphotoSD). He has tons of factory LCD's, cost around 90$. Please note that if you cracked the clear cover above the lcd that is a separate piece however it wont effect the lcd working (this piece is also replaceable). Then I found a simple tutorial for disassembling the camera body on google. Took me like 25 min, very simple job, just need a very small phillips head screw driver. Hope this helps!

Broken screen

Yes it is possible, if you can get the display. This is a very delicate operation. Watch makers stuff. The flex circuit coming off the display is very, very delicate. Remove all screws around the camera body (6 of them)and very carefully pry it apart. The top snaps in place. Remove two screws from the display frame and gently remove the screen. The flex circuit is connected by a micro miniture connector. Unlock the connector by sliding the lock tab on each end. Break it and you are hosed! The flex circuit has no connector and alignment when inserting it is critical. Push the lock tabs back in place. You'll need a very steady hand and tweezers. After replacing the screen power up to test it. If it works, you're home free. Reverse order to put it back together. Break a new one. Good Luck
