Re: no picture

You are into really technical problems. There is HIGH VOLTAGE in any tv using crt's. please be careful!!

you should contact a qualified service center and them do the repair.

Sony kp-57ws500 flashes blue, green, red then turns off

Re-insering the flyback wire is usually very easy. Push in and give a slght turn and check to see if grabbed. It sounds as if there is more issues than flyback wire. TV should turn on without one crt connected

The On/off button, keep flashing red and green

the most commpn issue with this set was the flyback transformer and the horz output transistor this parts are getting very hard to find , due to age try you may want to think about replacing this set the tubes no doubt are getting weak

The picture is dull and hard to see

First you have to check through focus control, That if it out then rotate it and see the result, if it solve the problem then its good and if not the the picture tubes needs replacement, it could be one or all (three; i.e; Red Blue Green)

No picture at all, sound ok 3 tube crts off after 4secs when on

might be a crooked flyback transformer, first check for shorted transistors around the transformer and components at the horizontal output stage..

No blue manual convergence - Samsung pcj522r

Thats a very strong possibilty the phosphorus may be burned off the CRT face. Does the blue project when powerd up and looking in from the raer of the set? Look into the blue CRT lens while its playing If you can see a clear picture I would think that you have some open resistors in the blue circuit, If you cant see a picture its time for a CRT. If you need a CRT let me Know I have a good source for them Used.

Blue Screen

You have a bad blue picture tube. If you replace it the red and green will be weak and probably go sooner than you think. Everytime I had to replace a tube in a sony projo tv i had to replace all 3 picture tubes at the same time. It's very expensive if you don't have any type of warranty coverage.

Blue lens works, but has a weak projection compared to the green and red lens

The most common problem I have seen with these Samsung projo units is the blue CRT (picture tube) failing. They usually form algae on the face of the CRT which means replacement of the CRT or rebuilding it by a CRT rebuilding company. I wouldn't suggest the novice to pull the CRT out because if the wrong mouting screws are pulled you will spill out the cooling fluid within the face of the CRT and that will cause more problems.

No Blue

Nope you did it! Its the blue tube. Go to and enter your model number and look up the tube. I did one last month for someone at Are you the same person? Oh well look it up but do you have the proper equipment to replace this tube, as its very dangerous to handle!! They have a tendency to implode and then explode if not handled right.
