The headband post can only be inserted into the earpiece when the earpiece has been sufficiently rotated. (Note that the hole and post are a 'D' shape, not round.) The installed ear cushion is preventing you from rotating the earpiece sufficiently.

Remove the ear cushion from the earpiece by carefully pulling it off so you do not damage the clips that hold it on or the gasket material between the cushion and the earpiece. There are six clips, three on each side.

Now you can rotate the earpiece into the position where the headband post can be inserted into the earpiece.

Carefully reinstall the ear cushion by pressing it onto the plastic clips. Note that it can only be installed one way with the internal plastic support towards the headband.

My DR-BT21G headset has developed a fault: When charging, unless I fold the headband, the 'pink' charging light integrated into the right ear-piece does not light. My guess is that the wiring continuity in...

Most things these days are not meant to be repaired.
If you can get a replacement from Sony, that would be the way to go. Wires can be soldered. Printed circuit wires can be wired around. It would mean attaching wires externally or opening up the insulation and glueing it back. Not a good look, but it would function if you can do that kind of work.

I need a headband for my headset

The only place you will find replacement parts is from the manufacturer. That is a high end assembly go directly to HP check on price and availability. If it's a current model HP might be able to provide the parts.
Usually they won't be available because HP wants to sell you a new product to replace it with. Try for those parts anyway.

Left earpiece removed

It rather depends on what broke on it. Sometimes superglue will hold it, but in my experiance if it gets a lot of stress it will go again. Another solution, if it is plastic that has snapped, is to melt them together with heat from a soldering iron. If you do this wear a mask and do it in a well vented area. You might need safety glasses as the smoke can make your eyes sore and also seems to go there.
One further way is to remove the speakers, find the size of them, then buy a cheap pair of headphones that uses the same size speakers as yours. Fit yours in. Afterall it's the speakers that output the great sound not the case!

How do I replace the ear cushions for a Plantronics DSP 400? Does the ear piece detach? Can't find a manual either.

There are some small silver inserts on the side of each earpiece. You can pry them off (gently) starting under the cushion and working your way around.

You can then remove the old cushions and put in the replacements and snap these silver retainer inserts back on.

You can get replacement cushions online for about $16.

How do I connect my Jabra Bluetooth to my LG phone? I have lost my manual and cannot get the Bluetooth to connect to my phone,

On back side of earpiece there is a pin hole. Using a paperclip, push on the switch in that pin hole. The display on your earpiece will say ready to pair. The device you are planning to pair with will ask for password. 0000. Accept/done. Go into bluetooth section of device and set up for yes instead of ask so it will auto connect everytime.

Ear piece does not work. Station top light does not come on

The 500A base station is definitely compatible with the 510 earpiece. If the earpiece is turned off or unpaired the base station's red power light will be flashing. If the earpiece is already off, try turning it on by holding down the little black button on top. The base station will automatically try to find the earpiece and the blue light on top of the base will come on. If the earpiece is already on (slow flashing blue light on the mic boom) turn it off and back on again and wait for the base to find it.
