Is this a Kitchen Aid? Is it possible to buy this circuit board from somewhere?

This is a kitchen aid. BUT!!!! it is an international model that was sold in countries with 220 volts. Look underneath the mixer for a white tag it should have a model number and a serial number, if you can get us those numbers then we can help with the parts. Hope this helps.

I have the fruit and vegetable strainer attachments to my Kitchen Aid Mixer. I was processing concord grapes, and the grape seeds and skins have gotten stuck between the white plastic auger and the metal...

Put the square auger end in a vise and lock it down, get a heavy terry cloth rag and wrap it around the cone and turn back and fourth by hand, (the cone is not strong enough to take any pressure from tools) until it starts to move, then keep turning back and forth while applying a lifting motion to the cone. That,s how I get mine apart when I get orange seeds stuck in it.

My KSM150PSS Kitchen Aid started leaking a brown oily substance from under the large metal ring that surrounds the rotating part that holds the beater "peg." What is going on? Can it be fixed?

Kitchenaid says to run it on high speed long enough for it to warm up well, then turn it upside down- I'd leave it upside down overnight.
The grease in the gearbox, over time, will separate into oil and heavier grease- mixing them together again and letting them run back to the top of the gearbox should take care of it.

If not, come on back and we'll go through the whole disassembly procedure.

Kitchen aid stand mixer bought in US, moving to Europe, 220v 50hz

I can not respond to the warranty issues. My kitchen aid mixer is past warranty as well. I live in a country that uses 220V and my kitchen aid mixer is 110V. I have been using my kitchen aid mixer for almost 4 years with no problems at all.

The converter boxes are supposed to blow the fuse on the converter before it reaches your appliance and cause any problems.

If you purchase a 220V kitchen aid (although it would cost more money) it would probably have more power because of the higher voltage.

Hope this helps!

Food made with KitchenAid Stand mixer tastes like grease

The likelyhood of grease coming from the mixer is extremely small. As long as the beater & bowl were washed first and the shortening you used was fresh, there shouldn't be a grease taste.

Kitchen aid 110v 450watt, I want to convert to 220v

Hi guys,

The only available Kitchen Aid stand mixers on the European markets are the Kitchen Aid Classic and the Kitchen Aid Artisan.

The best way is to contact a Kitchen Aid service center / repair facility in your area.
Here is the European website of Kitchen Aid: http://www.kitchenaid.eu/eu_EU/ka/ka_europe.htm

If you bought a different Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer (like the Professional series) you probably won't find the required parts to convert it to a European model. The only way would be to use a voltage converter.

I hope this helps.

Kitchen Aid Classic Mixer

I have this problem too -it is rather common if you search the web. There was a suggestion posted on this site about what to do. See http://www.fixya.com/support/t125253-mixer_leaking_oil I have also read about other people taking it to a Kitchen Aid repair place where they repacked the grease for about $45. I took mine apart and there is gobs of grease around the gears. Right now I am still trying to figure out what to do. I am going to have my father look at it to see what he thinks since he is good with motors. The Kitchen Aid web site says that the grease is FDA approved, so at least it's not going to kill you if a little gets in your food. Their suggestion is to take it out and run it for about 5 minutes at least once a week. They say it leaks if it is not used often enough. That logic doesn't make much sense to me, but you could try it. Mine seems to leak more when I run it because the grease heats up and liquifies more. I hope that helps. I'll let you know what happens with mine, once it's fixed. Lisa
