Question about HP DeskJet 932c InkJet Printer

1 Answer

Where I put the ink cartridges is really over inked

The places you put the ink cartridges seems to me has too much ink
in them. Like maybe a cartridge mal functioned and let too much
ink out while not being used. It is gooey in the cartridge holder.
Any suggestions as to how to clean it?

Hi,

Try soaking up as much as you can with a paper towel first then clean the remaining up with q-tips(swabs) use rubbing alcohol or some other form of Glycol to wipe away remaining mess.

Hope this helps FixYa,

I replaced all the inks with original epson inks **** all the light remians red (2200epson)

Maybe the cartridges are not placed properly! Remove the cartridges and put it back again, making sure they are placed properly, normally you will hear a clicking sound when cartridges are placed properly to position. Good luck!

Ink ran out; removed cartrige for 3 days to

MS update cant have screwed up any driver. You said you removed cartridge for 3 days. that should be the issueI suspect your ink nuzzle is dried. Apply a folded tissue paper to the ink nuzzle and press firmly. If the tissue comes off well blotted with ink it means you still have a good amount of ink in it. If not blotted or scantily blotted, it means ink really low or nuzzle is blocked. To be very sure of this place nuzzle in a place/saucer with a bit water so that the nuzzle is soaked. Leave for about 10 minutes. Then apply the tissue again. If still not well blotted it means ink is really low or empty. If new you should return it for a replacement. In the case of blocked nuzzles, the procedure may be repeated over to get results.

Ink cartridge

Maybe you've already tried this, but here's the instructions from the HP website, with pictures.
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00411520&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&product=445441

It sounds like you removed the plastic object and protective tape, but can't get the cartridge to sanp in place. Be careful not to touch the the corner where the tape had been. Slide the cartridge at a "Slight upward angle" to get the leading bottom edge in.

Hope this helps,

Refilling cartridge

cucujo, you were not as lucky as lovetofish! Sooner or later the printer will win.
The money for printer manufactures is not in the printer, it's in the ink refills. With this in mind many printer Mfg's have added small chips to their ink cartridges. These chips track the amount of times the printer prints. The software knows you are adding ink to the cartridges. Many people find they can get around this by keeping their old cartridges & refilling. Some HP users keep as many old cartridges as three. Rotating ink cartridges. This seems to work for most printers. Suggest you try the same. Continue to fill you're ink cartridge but replace with a new cartridge. When it empties replace with another new. The next three will be re-filled ink cartridges. Always refill as soon as possible, never turn ink cartridges on their sides. Keep refilled cartridges in an airless zip-lock bag, in a cool & dark place when storing.

its ok I solved it! I didn't realise that all the photo cartridge does is gloss over the colour picture produced by the colour cartridge. I simply had to replace the colour cartridge which had run out, so now its all working perfectly!!

No ink display on brother mfc240c

First make sure that you are using Brother Cartridges, their machines are very sensitive to using generic ink. Put a brand new set of ink in the machine. Pull all the old cartridges out and put all new cartridges in. If this does not resolve the issue contact Brother, they are very good about helping their customers.

Sometimes if you power off the printer, and then restore the power it will solve the problem. But if your images are printing fine, the blinking light is just an annoyance.
