check that you are using the correct line in the head
if it is too thick , the load will be causing the thermo switch for the motor to stop operation until it cools down

Conair hair dryer 1002axa stopped working

The thermal cut-out on hair dryers is usually self-resetting, the device will restore power once the unit cools down... Most of these types of problems are due to lint clogging the air intake and causing overheating, be sure to clean the intake before attempting a repair.

I have a Whirlpool Gold ultimate Care heavy duty Super Capacity Plus. Model: CEQ8858EQO & Serial number: MH1503498. It overheats when it hits the 'cool down' mode, or 'air fluff',...

Hello Gregory,

Their are 2 things that will typically cause that

1) the venting is crushed/blocked/restricted,check the vent from the back of dryer all the way to where it exits outdoors

2) i can not find your exact model number so i dont kow if it has a computer control or simple timer
if computer control the thermister(electronic thermostat) is what i would suspect
if simply timer the cycling thermostat is in question

So ya know the thermal fuse is a non resettable fuse and if were bad the entire dryer would not start so disregard it as beig the trouble uless the dryer doesn't run

Our dryer is overheating, after 20 25 minutes then we smell a burnt plasticy smell, then we let it cool down, start again, it goes for awhile, then stops, then again overheating, then the smell again.

Firstly, you need to stop running your dryer before you do any further damage,

As you haven't specified your brand or model of dryer, I can only give general advice. It's likely that your thermostat has failed in the closed (on) position. The thermostat cuts power to the element when your dryer reaches the correct temperataure.

Most dryers also have a thermal fuse to cut all power to the dryer if they overheat. This functions as a backup safety device and this only usually trips when the thermostat fails. Your dryer is stopping because the thermal fuse is cutting power, but as you can smell burnt plastic, it's likely some damage is being done before the thermal fuse trips.

Stop using the dryer, and check/replace your thermostat.

sounds like the cooling fan might not be working..check to see if it is working or not...if not check the power to the fan to make sure it isnt a fuse or bad fan motor

Passenger side radiator cooling fan stopped working

I found that for some reason if you start your car and then remove and reinstall the hi and low relays that the fans work. I have done this numerous times on my 1995 lhs. I thought that my fans were defective until by chance checked the relays which engine was running.

LED Light is on, but no sound from sub at all.. Have double backed on all wires but still nothing! HELP!!

I just brought mine to the shop for the same reason. I thought it was something big but it was just a bad fuse. It wasn't blown so when i checked it, I didn't think anything of. If you're using an AGU fuse, try and remove the fuse and touch the two ends of your power wire together and if it's the fuse it should cut on
