Question about Sport & Outdoor - Others
After warming up the outboard will not rev up without half choke. I cleaned the jets and I adjusted the mixture but no joy.
Yep, the carb (only one) needs to be cleaned. Do not dip in acid. The carb has a special coating on the outside that will be damaged if dipped. It should be cleaned in an ultra sonic cleaner. If that is not avaiable, general a non corrosive solvent sprayed through the various passages ( like brake clean) can get you going. Use compressed air when finished (a can a compressed air used to clean computers works good for little carbs)
