E250 Auto Shut-Off not working?

I own the player for about a year now and still have not figured out how to use this feature So i go to "Settings" -> "Auto Shut-Off" - there i set a time like 5 or 10 minutes, and press the "enter" button (big round one in the middle)... right? but when i hit the button it just takes me right back to the "Settings" menu. And the player does not shut off in the time i specified... What am i doing wrong? I already updated the firmware to version 01.00.12E, its still not working Ideas or solutions would be much appreciated!

The auto shut off is if the device is left idle for that amount of time. It does not function as a sleep timer, per say. Best of Luck.

Reg: Changing the modes of the device

You go to settings/usb mode, and change to MTP or MSC. If your settings don't show USB mode, you have to update to the latest firmware. If you have an E250, the video converter program will still probably not recognize the player. If you figure out how to get it to do so, please let us know.

Just shut down

The player has a sleep timer - change the auto shut-off option 180 minutes or so - it will only shut off every 3 hours in that instance - read your manual for more specifics

Expandable Memory

If music won't load onto Micro Sd card:
1) go to settings
2) go to USB mode
3)change to MSC format

Now you're good to go.

My Sansa turns off by itself...Help?

This happens to me to but only when Im listening to a long playlist and I haven't switched anything in a while, but if you go to "settings" and the to "auto shut-off" you can set the time you want it to auto shut off, usually it is on 5mins, so when the 5 minutes are up that you haven't touched it, it will shut off, i belive you sett it all the way up to 125 minutes, hope this helps!

Doesnt detect in MTP mode

I had this type of problem, excluding Rhapsody, but when the computer was updated, everything fixed. Sorry I couldn't help more. I think we updated Windows Media Player, but I think ours was 10, not 11. Try running auto update.

My computer will read my e250 but not my microsd card

Switch your player into MSC mode via Main Menu > Settings > USB mode. When the player is connected it will show as two drives, the player, and the microSD card just like a card reader. You can transfer files directly to the expansion card.
