Question about Pioneer EQ-6500 9-Band Car Equalizer

Equalizer setting help

I recently purchased a Pioneer DEH-P3000IB CD player. I've had equalizers before, but this one has a TON of settings. What I like is not too much bass and a nice, natural, full-bodied sound. I listen to music of all sorts as well. So: What is the best equalizer setting for this purpose? The settings are as follows: Low, Mid, and High +6 to -6. Frequencies: Low: 40, 80, 100, and 160Hz. Mid: 200, 500 Hz, and 1KHz, 2KHz. High: 3, 8, 10, and 12 KHz. Q Factor: 2N, 1N, 1W, and 2W. Loudness: Off, Low, Mid, and High. Subwoofer: Off, Normal, and Reverse. Subwoofer frequencies: 50, 63, 80, 100, and 125 Hz. (Note: I do not have a subwoofer, and I am using stock 04 Nissan Frontier speakers) High Pass Filter frequencies: Off, 50, 63, 80, 100, and 125 Hz. Bass Boost: 0 to +6. Source Level Adjustment: -4 to +4 (I do use an Ipod). Ok, I know that's a lot, but I hope someone can help me! Thanks a million in advance!

Try to use the preset equalizer settings after which you can come back to the parametric equalizer and adjust to your own taste. no problem if you don't connect the subwoofer just make sure you set the hi-pass filter to off so that you will hear the full range to your speakers. but, I advice you to put a subwoofer. There is more dynamics to the lower freqs too. don't adjust the source level if there is no problem. take note the EQ of your head unit is a parametric equalizer. hope this helps while you read about parametric EQs.

try looking at the gray, white and green wires and see which position the wires with the black stripe are. you should be able to get a good idea which should be the purple/black from that.

You can usually purchase a wiring harness for your vehicle to ease the connection to factory wiring. Two examples would be here:

Need to setup equalizer on my Pioneer deh-p5900ib

I am not understanding your problem, you can choose a preset or you can choose to tweak each band yourself.
