Question about Jensen VM9511TS AM/FM/CD/DVD/SD Player/7" LCD Car Video Player
Cant figure out the brake wire on my 99 Lincoln Town Car.Theres two light green wires by the brake pedal. One w/ red stripe and one thats solid light green. Which wire do I connect the pink wire (from Jensen VM9311ts) parking brake wire to?
You first have to figure out which one of these wires goes to ground potential when the brake is engaged. Get a digital multimeter set it to read resistance (turn the dial to the omega symbol)and then connect one end to ground of the car try the outer ring of the 12 cigarette lighter and the other using the tip to pierce the insulation of one of the wires, then press the parking brake. The meter with the brake not pressed should have ---- when the break is pressed the meter should read 0000 or some value less then 1.000 ohm. The wire that goes to ground when the brake is pressed is the parking break wire and attach your DVD player brake wire to that. My money is on the solid green wire.
