Have the 2 phones ,and cant figure out how to register other phone??

Page 26 says you can register 6 handsets. It sounds like there are handsets already registered. De-registering is on the same page.

someone gave me this phone and i cant figure out how to leave a message for the answering machine... help, i dont have a manuel.

Sounds like the antenna on the base station is not receiving, or the cordless handset is not transmitting -OR- the sets have never been registered to the base station (please look up registering to base station, if the set has never been registered)

Did the cordless set work before?

The base station or the handset may just have a hick up, I would un-plug the base station and leave it un-plugged... now get all the cordless set(s), and take out the batteries from the cordless set(s). Wait for about 15 seconds for all the power to drain out of the sets, then re-install the batteries.

Once all the cordless sets are back up and working, plug in the base station and wait for about 1 minute.
This forces the base station to re-establish and link between the base station and the cordless sets.

You need to register the new handset with the base.
In Global settings De-register the new handset then place it on the main base unit connected. It should then register.

i have sort of same problem! I recently bought Panasonic KXTG7223E TRIPLE TAM DECT Cordless Phone.
I have tried to register one of the hand set to the base unit but funny enough it has been regitered to my neibour's phone! I have tried to deregister it but does not let me! can any body help please?

Had the same issue. I have two units each with a handset, and one handset went to "out of range" status and stayed that way even after recharging. I tried to register it with that base and no luck. I then tried to register it with the other base and it worked. Then I tried to "swap" the handsets and no luck - it seems that the registration process on the one unit is toast so now I can only use the handsets with one of my two base units.

To solve the register problem.... Put each phone for 20 seconds or so in the main base. I had the same issue, and resolved it this way.

The older Tru8885 phones will not work with the new base unit. My recommendation would be to ebay those and then buy new ones or find replacements for your new base on ebay also.
