Question about Canon Pixma MP500 All-In-One InkJet Printer
We receintly filled all of our ink cartidges and when I tried to print, the printer accepts the paper but when it is done and spits the page out their is nothing printed/showed on the paper. (while the paper is going through the printer/ink thingy, goes back and forth like it is really printing something. But thiers nothing printed apart from a very light glare of the document I wanted to print.) Hopefully somebody knows whats up out thier and can PLEASE HELP ME!!! THANK YOU
When you filled your cartridges were they empty? If so there is a good possibility that the nozzles are gummed and dried up. If you are going to fill them yourself watch the indicator that comes up on the screen it will tell you when you are getting low. If you get a low indication fill it asap. This will keep your nozzles wet and free flowing. Waiting until its empty can cause them to gum up and altimately dry out. My solution is to go to the store buy brand new cartridges. Go through the the full set up that your manufacture recomends. This means using the install new ink cartridge utility that came with your printer. Print a test page and print a nozzle aligment page. Just remember never let your ink completely run out before filling. If you follow this you will never run into this problem again.

I had the same problem. The refilling station suggested that i dip the end of the cartridge in warm water then tap dry with with paper towel. It worked for a while but it dried up again after a few pages. If you are really desperate to print a few pages and can't buy a new cartridge asap, you can try this.

It's mean you should replace a new print head

Testimonial: "Thanks! I had resigned myself to buying the print head. Now, I've got to find the least expensive, I don't want to throw away this printer that has worked so well for me."
Go to Control Panel - Printers and on MF3310 right click and choose Default settings. I had to change page size from Letter to A4 and output size from Match page size to A4 as well. Finally, after 4 hours of investigations it worked.
