Question about D-Link DI-704P Router
I cannot ping the device via 192.168.0.1 Has this device gone belly up?
Hi, A couple of things you can try: 1. verify that your LAN cable from router to PC is good. There should be some indicator LEDs lighting up when connected/linked; 2. Co to Start, Control Panel, right click on your Local Area Connection, Properties, highlight Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), click on Properties, tick Use the following IP address > IP address 192.168.0.254; Subnet mask 255.255.255.0; Default gateway 192.168.0.1, OK; 3. Check if you can ping 192.168.0.1; 4. If not, you may need to do a hard reset your router. Pls be reminded that all configurations on the router would be reset to default; 5. If the reset does not work, then perhaps the router would need replacement. Hope this be of some idea/help. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need further information. Good luck and kind regards.
