archelle man: If this lines are darker, then the problem is in the ribbon. Try with another ribbon and decrease the print darkness.

Needs a new printing ribbon.

Push menu on your printer, then fin maintainance. Then go to clean printer and push the green button. It will clean the cartridges for you and that should help. 

I am printing on tab paper. Is it possible to have two lines print on a tab? If so, how? Thanks.

Try looking in your printer's menus for align cartridges. This should solve it.

You may try to check on the printing settings. You may need to check also if it is defaulting to all. You may try printing it by pages. If the issue persist then there is something wrong with the settings. You may also try to uninstall and reinstall the printer software if the issue persist.
