If you're comfortable with taking apart devices you can try a gps repair website that shows you how to replace the screen yourself.

Boken screens are a common problem, look into repairing it yourself, by purchasing another TomTom and swaping components, or disscuss with the seller. You might get lucky and save £££. Even its not repairable, the case, the screen , the battery and software +maps on the SD card, located at the bottom of the device, are still worth somthing to someone, somewhere on ebay
