Question about Sybase PowerDesigner DataArchitect 9.0 (20317-55-0900-41) for PC
Compaq Presario F700 worked fine on Internet with its embedded Internet Explorer 7. McAfee was purchased and installed. Immediately there was and still is no connection with the Internet. When trying to log on to the Internet, the message is that it is still "Connecting".
Everything else on computer still works.
Maybe McAfee is incompatible with this computer and should be uninstalled and canceled? What about a refund?

If you have McAfee Internet Security, there could be some settings that have disabled connection. I had this issue with McAfee once myself.
Open the McAfee security center and try to tone down any firewall settings, antiphishing, etc. For me, I turned off antiphishing and firewall altogether and it worked, but maybe not recommended.
