Re: cant access network settings or browser
If you are not able to access network settings it means your Bother in law has snatched the ADMINISTRATOR privilidges from you and thats why neither u can see nor change the settings. Now you can regain these credentials by making a new ADMINISTRATOR account and use it for accessing network settings...it will surely work...rate this solution if it was really helpful to you

Seems like configuring new router ID and network key will solve the issue for you.
Turn over router and check in the bottom default access IP address and then type that IP address in to your browser. Then it shall ask you for ID and password. Enter `Admin` or `admin` as ID and `Password` or `password` as password. You will see a web based setup opened in front of you. Go to the Wireless Lan settings and then you will SSID so change the SSID and this would be your network`s name. Then go to subsection security and select WPA2-PSK or simple WPA-PSK then enter your desired network key. Once done with all these things the click apply and reboot if prompted. Good Luck.
first of all, WEP stands for "wireless encryption protocol" and the WEP KEY is the password required to access an encrypted wireless (wifi) network. the key is set and modified via a console that you access via a web browser and is hosted on the router. it seems to me that you have a playstation 3, with a wireless capability and you wish to connect it to your router and are being asked what the WEP KEY is so that you can connect to the network. i can not tell you what the WEP KEY in your case is, because it can be set to anything that you want. you need to access your router and check what the key is, it is the same key that your computers and smart phones use to access the wireless network (wifi) in your home.

This has nothing to do with your anti-virus or your browser settings. This is an issue with either Facebook or Farmville. I am not sure which. I know this because I can access Farmville fine on any computer in my house. When I sign in to my mother-in-law's account it is gone. I have contacted Facebook and Zynga (the makers of Farmville). I will post their answer as soon as I get one.
ok this could be a no. on the back of ur router
but if u set up a specific phrase or no.
you have to get in ur router interphase
try at the address bar 192.168.0.1 or go to ur command prompt
*typ in start search cmd and a black screen should display
*type (ipconfig) and enter
*look for defaultgateway
*then type that no. in address bar of browser
and it should open up ur router
*go to ur wireless setting and it should be in WEP
and it will ask u to creat one or show the one that is on their
that should do it
He might have specified and configured your laptops IP to his Home IP.
This is easily fixed by: Open Internet Explorer > Tools > Internet Options > Connections Tab > LAN Settings > check the Automatically detect settings
Also you might want to check: Start > Control Panel > Network Connections > Right Click on a Connection > Properties > Select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) then make sure its set to Automatically obtain IP address.
*note* do this for your home one and delete your son-in-law's connection. If you don't know which is which just leave them and see what connect's then delete the others.
