Treadmill incline When I use my self progammed plan, the treadmill incline frops to 0 degree although it is programmed to 7 or 10 degrees. It was OK over years. For some reason. it doesn't happen to th maximum incline of 15 degrees. Also, it doesn't happen when I use manual plan and change the inclines manually.

RUN the software calibration for easy diagnostic, and fix it. Go to THE HOOD cover for the motor and follow the steps or use the owner manual.
God bless you

SOURCE: Image 17.0 treadmill is stuck in incline position

Hello there, The first thing I would try is to calibrate the incline on the unit.
Do this using the following procedure.
With the safety key out, press the stop button along with the speed up button while inserting the safety key onto the unit.
remove your fingers from all buttons, Then press the stop button one time. Now press the incline up button one time.
The unit should go all the way to the top, then return to the bottom.
Remove the safety key and reinsert it to continue using the machine

If this does not work you can manually move the machine to the bottom using this procedure.
Remove the hood cover b removing 2 screws in the rear of the machine and removing the first 2 screws on the foot rails on each side.
You can now lift the cover out of the way.
At this point you will see the incline motor located in the center of the unit pointing in a downward direction.
On the top of the motor there will be a small fan encased inside of a metal cover. There will be a flat head screw located inside the metal frame where the fan is. Rotate this clockwise to lower the unit. (the motor is geared very high it may not seem as though it is moving but it is) be patient that procedure does take a little while.
Any questions please feel free to leave another message on this link.

Good Luck! Tim

SOURCE: Treadmill incline stuck @ steepest level (highest)

MAKE SURE YOU STAND TO THE SIDE OF THE TREADMILL WHILE PERFORMING THIS
1)Connect the wall power to the treadmill
2)Remove the safety key
3)Hold down the red stop button and red increase speed button (this is the red triangle next to the start button)
4)Insert the safety key while holding both buttons down in step3
5)The treadmill will now go into a diagnotstic calibration mode
6)Let go of both buttons in step 3 and press the oval stop button once
7) Now press the up arrow green incline button once(This is located to the left of the yellow program button)
8) Allow the treadmill to go through a calibration cycle, once it completes and stops moving remove the safety key count to 3 and reinsert.

SOURCE: Treadmill incline error

Try this, it fixed it for me, if it doesn't work let me know
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MIIxoPtvhy8

I bought a used Precor 9.4 treadmill, but the incline adjustment was not working.
So, I did the following.
1. Turn off, unplug the treadmill and wait for an hour (this is for safety
2. Remove the black motor cover
3. Observe the transformer to the right of the motor and towards the belt ( I point to it in the video)
This transformer converts DC electricity to AC electricity and the AC current goes directly to the Incline motor which is in the black box towards the front of the machine.
4. On mine the wires had come loose from the transformer, they were soldered on very poorly, the wires are stiff and you should be able to see 4 wires coming from the top of the circuit board and plugging into the transformer, I had three of the 4 wires loose.
5. If you are not comfortable working with electronics or soldering DO NOT DO THIS REPAIR, you could get shocked very badly if you just go poking around in there with metal objects, get a friend who knows how to solder or hire someone.

6. It took about 5 minutes I just heated up my $10 soldering gun from radio shack and soldered all the loose wires that were about a millimeter away from the tabs on the back of the transformer, and VOILA! The incline now works!

Our Proform Sport 1000 treadmill will not run because the elevation will not go to 0 degrees. I can hear a clicking as if the teadmill is trying to go flat, but is slipping.

The incline operation and the walking belt operation are independent of each other. The walking belt should run regardless of the incline operation.
Although I have never had a problem with the gears in the incline motor being defective, you may need the motor replaced.. Try an incline calibration.
With the safety key in place, press start to start the machine. Press incline up. While the numbers are changing, remove the safety key. Release the incline up button. Reinstall the key, the machine should calibrate . After calibration, retry the operation normally.
Because the circumstances here are unusual, I would next disassemble the right upright and inspect the wiring harness for damage. During assembly, it is easy to pinch the harness (usually at the bottom of the upright), damaging the wiring to the console. The console may work, the the information may not get to the motor control PCB. The machine may have worked for a period of time before the damage became apparent, the flexing and movement of the frame eventually will eat through the wiring causing a number of unusual symptoms.

Cant get treadmill to unfold completely

You have gas shocks on each side of the unit need to see if they are dry and causing the unit not to fully fold down use a little machine oil on the rods this should take of it if not, either the shock are defective or some how you manage to fold the unit when the incline was not at its minimum.
1) engage key the look at incline display needs to be either 0 or 1 degree 2) if shock are defective replace shocks. Hope this help!!

When folding the treadmill, I cannot get it to stay up.

First foremost is the unit incline to zero degree if not power up the unit hit the start and use the quick incline zero button. Now if that does not resolve the problem check your latching assembly especially the knob and see if it locks in place or if the knob feels sticky then a little bit of 3 in 1 machine oil will do the job.
