Question about Kodak EasyShare V550 Digital Camera

Kodak EasyShare V550 Screen

I've had the Kodak EasyShare V550 for almost two years. About a year ago, I noticed what seem to be air bubbles under the screen. It doesn't come off if I try cleaning it so that makes me think that it is a problem with the glass. I figured that I was being rough with it until my friend with the same camara had the same problem. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem, and if so if Kodak is doing something about it. Thanks!

Hello Charles, On a Kodak this age it is not going to be worth having repaired. The cost will exceed the price of a replacement camera, sorry.

Have a 4 gb sdhd card and cannot format it in kodak easyShare V550

The V550 uses MMC and SD cards, not SDHC cards. While SDHC cards will fit into the slot, they are electronically incompatible and won't work. You need to go with MMC or SD cards, 2GB and smaller.

New memory card will not format

You are probably using a 4 gigabyte memory card and your camera will only support a 2 gigabyte card. Get the right card and it will format properly.

Kodak v550 digital camera

Hey akpssttt, I had the same problem with my kodak and even though I was able to turn on the camera, the lens would not come back in. So after awhile I just gave up took it to the repair shop and they still weren't able to fix it. So I left the camera for about a year now, gathering dust, but recently I decided to give another shot, and amazingly when I plug the camera into the charger, the lens went back in! And now the camera works perfectly.

So I would suggest you leaving your camera out for awhile and do not charge it until the batteries is completely drained. And then plug it back into the charger.

Hope this help.
