How do I reformat my toshiba A215-S7444 to factory settings. I have lost the disk. please help

If you have lost the restore disc you may need to buy the Restore disc from the Toshiba website. Please visit the following link, enter your laptops serial number and check if a restore disc can be purchased online. If not, you have to take it to the Toshiba service center to get the system restored to factory settings

RefreshPC - Make your windows feel like new!

Everyone knows that feeling when you buy a new computer or format the one you use and it just runs perfectly. Unfortunately this feeling never lasts long because every time you install new software (that you probably need) Windows becomes more unstable and with more errors.
That's where RefreshPC comes in action!

This little application, with a very simple interface, refreshes your registry and your system services, whilst also cleaning both your temp files and your prefetched files.
All you have to do is click the Refresh button and that's it!

At the end RefreshPC will show you a little report telling you what it did and asking for a reboot.

The program will suggest that you should do a new restore point and will offer to do one if you want!
This is a nice tool to clean your pc and it's free!

Averatec 7100 laptop factory recovery disc

Most times the recovery discs don't work. Why not just get an operating system disk and reinstall the operating system?

Have you tried doing a System Restore? System Restore will let you select a Restore Point (date and time) before you started having problems. System Restore will not delete your data, documents, music, pictures, videos or programs (unless the program was installed after the Restore Point you selected). System Recovery on the other hand will delete everything and set your system back to the point when you first purchased it.

To start System Restore click Start/Programs or Start/All Programs. Click Accessories/System Tools/System Restore. When it opens you will have the option to select another restore point (date and time) than the one shown.

My computer reproduces files over and over in every library and I can't delete them. Please help this time. I went through a total system overhaul on Feb. 3,2011 and it started the same behavior that...

reproducing files over and over in every library and hard to delete is cause by viruses in your system,your machine is ok only the system is unstable due to that virus and it's not covered by the warranty....hope your restoration point is on so we can set back your system to when it works normally and no restore your system to when it works do this;
Click windows start>pointing all programs>click accessories>system tools>then system restore..
On system restore window tick on "restore my computer to an earlier time"
click next then select date and time to when your computer works good before the error occurs..
click next then next...wait untill the process ok after finish..but if the problem still persist,go back to steps and select another date..if still nothing, use anti-virus scanning software or reformat hdd if possible..
hope this help, goodluck

I want to restore my emachines desktop to its factory settings. Can this be done with our the disk.

There is a couple things you can do. if you have lost the recovery cd's in case the computer came wiht them. do a system restore back to the last restore point shown.

or purchase the recovery disks.

if you've decided to use System Restore to revert your system to a previous state, start the System Restore Wizard and follow the prompts. To use the System Restore Wizard, make sure you're logged on as an administrator, and then follow these steps:

Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, point to System Tools, and then click System Restore.
On the Welcome screen, click Restore my computer to an earlier time, and then click Next.
On the Select a Restore Point page, select the date from the calendar that shows the point you'd like to restore to, as shown in Figure 2, and then click Next.

Figure 2
On the Confirm Restore Point Selection page, verify that the correct restore point is chosen, and then close any open programs.
Click Next if you are ready to proceed or click Back to change the restore point.
The computer will shut down automatically and reboot. On reboot, you'll see the Restoration Complete page, and then click OK.

however; if you pc did not comes with the recovery cd's. then it is possible there is a recovery image of windows residing on the D:\ drive partition of your hard drive. so, when you turn on you pc you should be given an option something like PRESS F10 for Setup.

then press F10 you will have options on how to recover the PC to factory defaults.

hope this help

My parents just gave me this computer. I dont have any discs with it can I restore it to factory settings with out cd and how

If you can start up the computer and use it then you can create your own boot disc. It can be hard if you don't know what your doing. Another option is to go buy a new hard drive and windows xp. (Note from the specs you have given, Vista wont work on this computer as Vista needs min 1GB Ram to operate).
Check this site for info: Hope it helps.

Need to restore to factory Settings don't have discs

If your system came with a recovery cd and you have lost it, the only things you can do is either , do a system restore back to the last restore point shown. Or purchase a new CD disk.

If yous system did not come with a recovery disk, then it is possible there is a recovery image of windows residing on the D:\ drive partition of your hard drive. If this is the case, when you boot up the computer and it's on the black screen, you should be given an option something like "Press F10 for Setup" . If you press F10 you will have options on how to recover the PC to factory defaults.

When loading a disc it will show loading and then it will show no disc and I have run a cleaning disc but did not help

HI.This will occur when the optical assembly becomes unstable. this ((Whole One Piece)), assembly incorporates the spin/load motor, optics housing /arm, tracking device and tracking rail. This is connected to the loading dock assembly. This 'NO Disc' or CD NOT PLAYABLE, code is the result of a failed or burned out lens. It is possible that you have a dirty lens cap. you can try using a cleaning disk in this case to confirm actual lens failure. if the cleaning doesn't restore normal reading capabilities, this will confirm my diagnosis.

You will need to have the optical assembly replaced in this case. once replaced, your unit will be able to read and track once more.

Was going to do system restore or go bact to origanal shape of pc.woulden.t let me sign on or go any place.woulden't let me do restore piont.Why.

That is the problem with the System Restore application. U might have dried the CMOS battery and the System Date and Time may wary with the one u installed at the time of OS Installation. It is not possible to restore the PC at this point of time. Better you format your system and install the new OS.

Runndll 32 to partition the hard disk

whenever you repartition a drive all the data is lost in those partitions

a quick way to get rid of rundll32 error is to do a system restore using safe mode, which will restore your system configuration to a date when your system was working fine without rundll32 error, it is possible if you remember the date on which your system was working fine

when the system starts at the blue dell logo start tapping the F8 key and when it gives you the option to use safe mode select it and then

Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, point to System Tools, and then click System Restore. System Restore starts.

here it will show you in bold the dates to which you can restore your system back to, select the date and continue, but restoring a system back in date will make you loose any new settings done to the system or any new software installed to the system.

If you think the above info was helpfull please do rate me
