Question about Viking 30" Professional Select Built-in Electric Single Oven - VESO130

1 Answer

Incorrect temperature My wife is a very frequent baker. The temperature setting on our Viking electric oven, model VESO130SS,has been unreliable from day 1 of use. She has to constantly use a thermometer to set the desired temperature .The dial setting always overshoots the set point by ~ 25 deg .She has to juggle the set point back & forth to get the desired temp. Are there any adjustments, etc.? Assuming the oven worked properly & considering its cost, there should have a been digital temp readout as well as an alarm( visual /audible) when the set point has been reached

Under the oven knob is the screw that adjusts the temp. remove the knob and with a small blade screwdriver adjust the temp according to your wife's oven thermometer CW+hotter CCW=cooler
then on the back of the knob is a screw to adjust the position of the knob with respect to the marker

The stickers that indicate what temperature the oven is on have come off during cleaning. Is there anywhere to buy replacement stickers/decals? Thanks.

Hi,
I true wish there was, Viking will sell you only the panel with the writing on it, because its part of the panel. I an sorry that happened but there is not fix to it other than replacement of the panel.

set both knobs the temperature and the bake broil to the lock mode, set the time such as 3 to 4 hrs I think and hit start. You should then here the oven begin to lock.

Oven low heat

Did you try going to the GE website to pull up the Use and Care Manual? It does have a section re: how to adjust the temperature by as much as 35 degrees either way. Although it is not the 100 degrees you mentioned, you could try it and see if it helps...

The main GE website is: http://www.geappliances.com/

At the top of the web page is a SEARCH section. You can click on the blue down arrow in the first box and select Use & Care Manuals, then put your model number in the empty box to the right of that selection box, ie. JT952 is my oven.

If you are having a problem locating your model number/serial number, you can go to the FAQ (frequently asked questions) section to see how to find it.

Thermostat setting for bakers pride y600 oven.

Hi, those screws are for the calibration of the knob to the thermostat, so your calibration is correct. Most likely you will have to contact a servicer to check the calibration, and set you knob and plate where they will align with the actual temp again.
Hope that helps, and thank you.
