Question about Philips GoGear HDD6330 MP3 Player

2 Answers

HDD6330/17 How do I take this thing apart. I have one with a cracked screen that works, but you can't see anything. I have another one that screams "Please connect to PC". I want to take the 2 apart and use the good screen in the one that works but I am like a bull in a china shop. Does the Metal cover have to come off or do you take it apart from the front? Thanks in advance. DV

Re: HDD6330/17

Hi -- as you say the rear metal case needs to be removed, best start around earphone connection, use thumbnail or thin stif plastic, ease under metal case in and work across top, then bottom sections then onto the side (on/off)switch there are two plastic "tanges" about one third along then two thirds along that need to be pushed inwards and upwards. The other side again two "tangs" but both these two are in bottom half only, at quarter and half way position. Please be very careful and dont insert tool to far 2-3mm at very most.

Cracked screen i dropped mine yesterday and the screen cracked if works but i cant see anything! please help!

The only solution for a cracked screen is to replace it, once the screen cracks the LCD is no longer good. If the player is still under warranty see if it's covered if not you can try to replace the screen yourself, but that is usually risky and the screen alone is going to be expensive, best advice is to replace the player and try to be more careful, sorry.

Hope this helps

The crack on the screen could have led to the problem. To leaving it unrepaired, anything could have slipped inside. Now that the screen on the inside it being tampered with, the screen went out. The only thing you can do s unscrew it and put it back together. That would reset the screen, but other wise, you need to buy another.

I tried,

Iriver clix 2 8gb screen broken

i can fix your no responsive

u need to open your clix (CAREFULLY)

u will see the side with the screen has an attachment on it. on the other end of the clix there is a rectangular thing that looks just like it. now carefully plug the screen back into it and snap your clix back together. plug it into any charger and PRESTO fixed screen

if it didnt work then your screen is cracked and must be sent back to the company. they do it for free though.

good luck

Cracked screen, and other stuff.

Did you know of anything you did to physically crack the screen?
As for the clicking-- that is the hard drive. It is either dead or stuck. you may want to try to "unstick" it the Risky way. To do this, Place a stack of paper on a table, and smack the ipod against it. Obviously you should do it to the back to avoid breaking the click wheel or screen (even though your screen may be broken already.)
As for the "very low battery" thing, just plug it into a computer or Ac adapter and let it sit. It will eventually charge.
