Question about Philips GoGear HDD6330 MP3 Player

2 Answers

HDD6330/17 How do I take this thing apart. I have one with a cracked screen that works, but you can't see anything. I have another one that screams "Please connect to PC". I want to take the 2 apart and use the good screen in the one that works but I am like a bull in a china shop. Does the Metal cover have to come off or do you take it apart from the front? Thanks in advance. DV

Hi -- as you say the rear metal case needs to be removed, best start around earphone connection, use thumbnail or thin stif plastic, ease under metal case in and work across top, then bottom sections then onto the side (on/off)switch there are two plastic "tanges" about one third along then two thirds along that need to be pushed inwards and upwards. The other side again two "tangs" but both these two are in bottom half only, at quarter and half way position. Please be very careful and dont insert tool to far 2-3mm at very most.

Kitchen aid mixer has a scream when using dough hook.

A little pin or setscrew or key has failed. Maybe a gear has slipped out of place. Anyway, the thing needs to come apart to find out what happened. When taking things apart, line up each item off in a tidy row, put screws in little containers near the part they fit.
Repairclinic.com may have instructions, and probably have the parts.

A cracked LCD screen cannot set right by anyway. The only thing you can do is to replace it with a new one.

Screen cracked, lines on screen, can't see anything on screen

I had the same thing happen to my Sony. The LCD screen is cracked and it is leaking stuff into your screen. It will just get worse until you can't read anything. The repair was far more than buying a new computer.

I dropped my T4220 and now the screen is blank and its beeping. There are no visible cracks on the screen or the casing... The fan is on and nothing else :( Any help pls...

There could be anything from a wire off to a hair line crack on the mother board. If nothing much works apart from the fan, it is possible the mother board is now damaged.

The inside of my screen is cracked and the side of the screen is black it happened when i dropped it and the black keeps getting bigger. and also i think i killed the battery because of over charging, and...

The black is just what happens when you crack an LCD screen. The LCD screen can be replaced. Generally not to much trouble either.

Your screen is faulty, maybe your phone fell into water or you hit your screen on something accidentally

It will be almost impossible to fix your screen so the best thing to do is to have your screen replaced

Cracked screen computer working

Okay heres the thing, look up your model number on your laptop and check the model number in google, after you find your laptop look for a site that offers replacement parts, depending on the year of the laptop you can relativily pick up a screen for cheap, simply pull the small tabs that hold your plastic keyboard in place and lift it out gently (you dont want to damage the keys); then take apart the laptop as needed depending on the model it might only be two screws holding it in and you may not have to remove anything else, so anyway after you get past the hardware and gently dismantle your laptop, just remove screws and screen connector from motherboard (be sure to not touch motherboard or have it on any surface that might give you electrostatic discharge) which would fry your laptop. Then just swap out smashed screen for newly ordered screen and reassemble, not very difficult! Hard to give you any more info not knowing model or anything!! Good luck!!

Cracked screen

Hi

The warranty covers manufacturing defects and such, camera stops working completely etc, cracked screen is not one of those things.

You must have dropped your purse or something must have pressed on the screen and caused it to crack.

I think they will charge you for a new screen.
