I have 3 Kenwood 12'inch subwoofers need to know how to wire them up to a Kenwood KAC-9105D

Follow the link and use the first diagram which illustrates wiring the subs to 2.66 ohms

Remember that that amp is one ohm stable so you will not be getting the most out of that amp with that subs set up. The subs will only see 650 to 850 watts each sub will only see about 215 - 275 watts a piece. Find out what the RMS wattage of your subs are each an determine if the wattage I mentioned above meets those requirements.

Kenwood kac-749s amp power indicator flashing red. what does this mean and what can fix it?

Either there is a short in the in the amp or hopefully just the speakers or wires going to the amp. disconnect any speaker input output and turn your amp back on(you will only have power, ground, and remote wires plugged in at this time) and if the red protect light goes away, then there is a problem with the input/output speaker wires, this includes your RCA's. If it's still flashing red then there may be a stray wire shorting to the amp in the speaker outs, other than that your amp may be fried. By the way, if it works without any speakers connected, including RCA's try connecting one component speaker at a time starting with your RCA's(if using them), speaker in, then speaker outs. If it turns into protect mode, note which speaker/RCA it was and replace or repair the short.

I have a kenwood kac-9152d running a 10 inch rockford fosgate power t1 and the amp keeps going into protect but i have a smaller kenwood kac-8102d running on another t1 and i have no issues with it why...

either the wiring your running is short circuting,or the amp is shot, or the subwoofer is shot, try hooking the same speaker up to the other amp. along with the other speaker to the other amp, see if the same thing happens.

When i hooked the amp up the it would blink red right when i turn the stereio on

this can be caused by a short or a non constant current from your head unit to your remote power wire on your amplfier (your remote wire might be broken some where). Or your amp is losing ground. also check your speaker wiring and so on. has a subwoofer wiring diagram for all occasions.... make very sure you are wired properly this can be killing your amp causing the light to dim and so forth...

Wiring options

Hello chino2g,

For 3 DVC 4 ohm subs wired to a 2 ohm stable amp, your best option would be to wire all of the sub voice coils in series (individual 8 ohm loads) and then parallel the three subs for a final load of 2.67 ohms. There's really no other configuration. Here's the wiring diagram:

Hope this helps.

That amplifier is only stable to 2 ohms.
You will only be able to use one Dual 4 ohm Subwoofer wired in parallel (all + to + on amp.... all - to - on amp.
This will yield a 2 ohm mono load.

It is impossible to wire (2) dual 4 ohm voicecoils to achieve a 2 ohm mono load.

If you're set on using both subwoofers - they will not be getting as much power from your amplifier with a 4 ohm load - but it is your only option.

SEE THIS LINK for the wiring diagram.
