Fault with its main board. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. . In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.

If your television is totaly no power, first step to do is to check the power outlet if there's a power output. Then check the power cord,if good, the problem is inside the television.Maybe the fuse is busted. So remove the back cover of the television and find or look the power supply. The fuse is located at the power supply.Replace same amphere of fuse if busted or open.Try to power on if you already replace fuse.Thanks...

Will not power up

If your television will not power up, there is just one problem related to this, and that is the power panel. But before You confirm it is the power panel, You will have to run a test on some components to be sure that it not other components before You go ahead to replace the power panel of the television. The components to tests are the power outlet, check if the voltage is not too high or too low to power on the television. Then You also test if the cable that connects the television to the power outlet is not bad by using it on another television and trying to use the another power cord on the television, then You confirm if it is not a blown fuse on the power cord. Once that is confirmed, then You can go ahead to replace the power panel of the television. To replace the power panel:
  1. Get a screw driver, a glove a cup and a replacement power panel,
  2. Unplug the television and put on Your gloves,
  3. Turn to the back and unscrew it open,
  4. Keep all screws in the cup in order for them not to get missing,
  5. The power panel is the panel that the power cord is attached to at the back of the television, remove it,
  6. Fix in a new one
  7. Reverse the process to reassemble the television back together,
  8. Plug it into the power outlet and power on the television.
It should turn on now.

Hope this helped. Thank You for using FixYa!!!

Its not power on

Once your television is not powering up, then there is a problem with the power panel of the television. First try to connect the television using another power cord to see if it will work. If it does not come on still, then it means there is a problem inside the unit. The problem mainly used to be either a faulty power panel or a bad capacitor. If the television has its LED light blinking, then it is a bad capacitor on either the main panel or the power panel, and if the power LED light is not blinking, then it means the power panel is bad, and replacing the power panel will do the job for you.

I have a samsung flat monitor TV.. There was a voltage drop at my house and when power came, the TV is not switching on.. what could have happned ?

The dropped voltage could have spoiled a component in the television, most likely the power panel.

Try using another cord to connect the television to see if it is not the cable that got burnt, and if it does the same, then it means you have to replace the power panel of the television.

You can have a repairman change the power panel of the television.
After replacing the power panel of the television, it should be in good condition once again.

Take care

I went to turn our tv on and got no response, as though there was no power. I checked the power supply at the TV end of pead and there is a supply. There were no problems prior to this.

The problem with the television is that the power panel is faulty and needs to be replaced. Mostly, there might have been a burnt capacitor on the power panel of the television that is why it is not coming on.

You can replace the power panel by unscrewing the television from the back, trace the power cord to the panel it is supplying the current to, and assess the panel for burnt components.

Replace the panel, and reverse the process to reassemble the television back together and the television will be in good condition once again.

Take care

Dead set, no power

It is obvious that the television is not receiving power from the source that is why you have no power at all.

The problem is from the power panel of the television. So what you have to do is replace the power panel of the television, by doing so, your television will be in good condition once again and would be able to power up.

Take care and good luck

The power cord was crushed and no power is getting to the tv. Is the plug able to be replaced as this has happened below the splitter???or whatever the thing is on the cord. thanks Shelley

If the power cord comes off the television you can replace it with a standard power cord. You have to tell the Radioshack employee how many volts and hertz. That should be on the back of the television. If the power cord does not come off the television you can find someone perhaps a tv repair guy that can attach another power cord to the one on the television. My dad actually did that when his older television would no longer power on. He took the bottom part of a power cord from a fan that was no longer working and attached it to the television's power cord. It has been working like a charm ever since for years.

I have an olevia tv model number 542-13-11 and it will not turn on. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

do you get a blue light on ? if you do that means you have power could be the main-board is bad on the television. But if you have no blue light on the front of the television then you have no power. You could try switching the power switch on the back of the television several times and see if you get any type of blue light on the front of the tv. If you don't then try connecting the power cord to a power strip or straight to the wall.. if you still don't get power try disconnecting the power cord from the television overnight and then plug it back in and see if you get any sign of power.. if still no sign of power then the television power supply is bad and will need to be replace or repair..

Since the manuf. of OLEVIA is out of buss have this 3rd party repair center that is able to provide you with a repair quote call this number 866-965-3842 the company is called Amergence Technology who is able to repair and service all OLEVIA HDTV products..
