Question about HP OfficeJet 6110 All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

I shipped my HP 6110 from England to Canada. The power adaptor accommodates 220 to 110 voltage, so no problem there. It turned on fine. Now the scanner works, but the print cartridges are stuck in home position and the display reads "Open door.Remove carriage jam and then press enter." There is no paper jam nor any debris in the paper path.I went through all the steps on the hp site, but the message keeps appearing. Please help.

I cant access the cartridges to remove them.

Already did that, without success. I have now gained access to the print cartridges, removed and cleaned them, but still get the carriage jam message. Also gives a message CHECK LEFT CARTRIDGE, off and on.

Make sure you actually opened the rear door and reseated it even if there's no visible jam.
Make sure the front panel is correctly installed.
Try resetting the printer by turning it off, unplugging the data and power cables for a few minutes, then plugging it back in and turning it on.
If you've tried this and followed the steps given by HP in a search of your model for "Carriage stall resolution", available here
you may have to have a tech take a look at it...

Did you follow the instructions in the link provided (click here) to open the print carriage access door by lifting the handle until the door locks into place.

Perhaps you have already resolved this issue.

Can i use my wii i brought in england in usa

I believe England uses a PAL system as USA / Canada uses NTSC. You'd have to set your Wii settings to compensate. Also, power outlets in England are different from outlets in North America. You'd also need a new power adapter.

Hi buddy , You can surly use it as all the mobile charger has an adaptor which will take care of the voltage difference . The electrical circuit (Clamper and clipper circuits) inside the adaptor is so designed that it will allow only a particular amount of current and thus voltage regardless of the input power . So dun't worry . For any quires write back to me .If yo are satisfied with my answer please vote for me(with at least 3ups) . thanks in advance

Cannon i80 printer will not turn on, appears dead

Take the adapter back to the guys at radio shack, they should be able to find what they missed or did wrong the first time.
I suspect the adapter is the power supply and plugs into the wall. That's the item that wouldn't let it turn on, it's either shorted or one of the wires are no longer connected.

HP scanjet 3500c doesn't turns on

Look at your AC Adaptor for your Scanjet and see what the output voltage is. Then try to find another AC adaptor that will fit your scanjet and has the same output voltage as your original. It could be that your adaptor is bad.

Power adaptor

If you can find an adapter with the same Connector, Polarity,Voltage. and the required Amperage or higher, it should work.

You might be able to find the exact part on Ebay or an online store.

Here are the part numbers depending on you location.
218864-001 Power module (USA, Canada)
218864-371 Power module (Asia/Pacific)
218864-A71 Power module (PRC)
218864-AB1 Power module (Taiwan)
218864-AC1 Power module (Hong Kong)

HP laptops power supply

Well, as a rule for electronics:
The United States and Canada use 110-volt electricity.
Most countries outside North America use 220-volt electricity.
Unless your appliance is dual voltage, you need to use a "converter" or a "transformer" to change the 220-volt electricity into 110-volt electricity in order to use a 110-volt appliance.
If your appliance is dual voltage, you can switch it to work on 220-volts, without a transformer or converter.

HOWEVER

Desktop units have a selector switch for 110 / 220 volts., which is done away with in the case of laptop one's which sense the input voltage and regulate accordingly.

I think your main concern is just that you have an adapter for the plug to go into the wall outlet.

Hope that helps :)
