How are you going about it? Connect the camera to your computer then make sure your camera is in 'Auto' mode (the dial on top of the camera), it is fully charged and turned on. A dialogue box should appear on your computer screen. If not, you may have 'auto-play' disabled for that USB port. Try connecting the USB cable to a different USB port. Conversely, open your photo editing program, connect the camera (set to 'Auto mode', fully charged and turned on) then use the import feature of the program to search for and collect the images.

How do i re-import pictures from my canon power shot d10 to my computer after having done once? i lost the pics and it doesn't allow me to re-import again because i did it once already.

Remove the memory card from camera, put it into a reader and connect the reader to the computer via the usb port. Then using windows explorer locate the folder where your pictures are, create a new directory in your computer hard drive, and Copy the pictures you want into your hard drive.

Import pictures Nikon D3100 get access denied

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Nikon Transfer or Picasa.

I Can't see the pictures or even copy it when I connect it to the computer? what will I do? thanks. GODBLESSU!!!!!!!!

Hi,

The solution depends upon the Operating System. There are many options for transferring the images from the Camera to the Computer. You can either use the supplied Software for transferring the images to the Computer or with the help of Windows Explorer.
Let's try to set the Camera in PTP/MTP Mode and check if it the computer detects the Camera as a Removable Drive. To set the PTP/MTP Mode, select the USB Connect option from the Main Settings 2 Menu of the Camera.
If the Camera is detected as a Removable Drive in the Computer window, then open the DCIM Folder to copy all the images.
If the Software is installed in the Computer, then the Import Media Files screen of the Picture Motion Browser appears automatically.
Click on Import option to import the images. By default, images are imported into a folder created in Pictures folder that is named with the date of importing.

This should help you in transferring the images.

Thanks for using FixYa.

Will not download pictures

Hi you need to Import to "My Pictures" Folder if you can see that option. As soon as you plug in the USB plug from your Camera to the Computer it should make a sound and and Import menu should pop up. It will ask what you want to do with the images. You will select Import to my Computer, If it gives you an option to save to "MY PICTURES" Select that option. If not just Import to your Computer and then Later go to "Pictures" in Windows and select RECENTLY CHANGED option. This will pull up the Pictures you JUST PUT ON THE COMPUTER. Hope this helps

I HAVE A SONY DIGI CAM MODEL DSC W-5. MY PC IS NOW UPGRADED WITH WINDOWS VISTA AND SINCE THEN IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO DOWNLOAD THE PICTURE TO PC. THE INSTALLATION CD ISSUED WITH CAMERA DOES NOT COMPITABLE...

  1. Turn on the camera.
  2. Insert the recording media containing the pictures into the camera.
  3. Depending on your camera, set the USB Connection or Transfer mode setting in the menu to the Mass Storage , Normal , or PTP .
  4. Use the USB cable supplied with the camera to connect the camera to the computer. IMPORTANT:
    • Connection through a USB hub or other USB device -- such as a printer or keyboard -- is not supported and cannot be guaranteed. Connect the camera directly to a USB port on the computer.
    • If the USB connection from the camera is not recognized by the computer, disconnect the USB cable and repeat steps 4 and 5 using a different USB Connection or Transfer mode setting. If the connection is still not recognized, further troubleshooting is available.

    NOTES:
    • The computer will automatically install the USB driver for the camera.
    • When the camera connection is established, an AutoPlay window will appear.

  5. In the AutoPlay window, click Import pictures .
  6. In the Importing Pictures and Videos window, click the Import button. NOTE: After the pictures have been imported, the Windows Photo Gallery window will appear and display thumbnails of the imported images.
If this doesn't work there is an updated driver available
