Question about Mitsubishi WD-62525 62" Rear Projection HDTV
I have had this TV for almost 5 years in the exact same spot. Over the last two months there has been a meesage that says, "the tv will shut off in the next few seconds. please check the airflow is not being obstructed." Once it shuts down, I remove the filter and clean it. This message used to come up every few weeks, then a few times per week, and just yesterday it shut down twice. Any suggestions? Thanks.
It is probably a bad temp sensor inside the TV. My 73" started shutting down before it was a year old. I moved it way out from the wall and it got a little better. A tech was just out to change the bulb under an extended warranty and he said there is a service bulletin about the temp sensor. If your TV is out of warranty you might call Mits and see if they will cover the sensor replacement. Tech said it takes about a 1/2 hour in the home to change it...
