Question about Kodak EasyShare CX7430 Digital Camera

1 Answer

Copy picture to CD after downloading to computer

We have a Dell Dimension 2400 computer about 4 years old running Microsoft Windows XP Home 1 software. We are able to successfully download pictures to the computer by using the Kodak Easyshare software that came with the camera. When attempting to copy selected pictures to a fresh RW CD it does not complete the writing process. The CD drive just sets there & blinks with no apparent progress. We can view the photos on the screen OK. When searching for help, Windows tells us the problem is in the Kodak Easyshare Software. We attempted to access the Kodak website but were unsuccessful in finding the correct one so we arrived here. Can you help us solve this problem?

Well as long as your RW's have been erased then I couldn't tell you. But i can point you in the right direction of some better software to use. 1. ACDSee - http://store.acdsee.com/servlet/ControllerServlet?Action=DisplayPage&Locale=en_US&SiteID=acd&id=ProductDetailsPage&productID=69658800 - download a trial and check it out. 2. Nero Photoshow Deluxe - http://www.usnero.photoshow.com/home - my personal pick because Nero is the leader in CD burning technology. Of course your cd burner might be the cause as well. try burning something other than photos to test it. A good reboot after multimedia multitasking is always good as well. hope this helps you. let me know.

Dell dimension 2400 network adapter driver

The Dell Dimension 2400 drivers are available here: http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/19/product/dimension-2400 . Use another computer to visit the site and make sure that Microsoft XP shows in the OS search drop down. Expand the section labeled Network. The wired network adapter is a Broadcom 4401. The direct link to the latest driver (V. 3.63 released 8/5/2003) page is http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/19/DriverDetails/Product/dimension-2400?driverId=R64645&osCode=WW1&fileId=2731129724&languageCode=en&categoryId=NI .

A more recent driver for XP is available from Broadcom at: http://www.broadcom.com/support/ethernet_nic/4401.php . Select the driver for the 32-bit version for XP.

I hope this helps.

Reinstalled Windows XP on an old computer (DELL Dimension 2400) and the monitor won't display above basic resolution. Downloaded and reinstalled the monitor driver and still no good. Opened up START

According to the Dell Support web site the Dell Dimension 2400 has a built in Intel 3D extreme graphics adapter, assuming you are using this and not a PCI graphics card.

Go to the Intel Download Centre and run their Intel Driver Update Utility which will automatically scan your system for updated drivers for any installed or integrated Intel devices.

If the Intel Utility identifies an updated driver for your graphics adapter then download and install that which should enable you to configure a higher resolution for your display.

My Dell Dimension 2400 has stopped working - how do i restore the factory settings ?

Hello,

It appears your model Dell 2400 should have been supplied with the CD's for reinstalling Windows XP, CD will be green or blue in color and the drivers and applications that came with the computer.

If so, back up your files first to an external drive and then put the CD in the CD drive and reboot the computer. It should come up to reinstall XP.

If good to go, you will be prompted to install the second Cd as well as online XP updates.
Software that was installed after you bought the computer also wouyld have to be reinstall as well as restoring your backed up file.

Rememberm all data is lost when you reinstall your operating system, unless these is a choice on install that may ask for destructive, or non-destrutive (keeps files).

I am attaching a link to Dell for your to copy and paste into your web browser for the support page for drivers and user guide in the event you need to reveiw the process.

Ihave a dell dimension 2400 It is windows xp home edition. What cd would I order to restore it back to factory setting. I would appricatae it thank you Karen

Hi. I have a dell optiplex gx240, and I has to do this exact same thing to it.
You can download an iso image from the microsoft windows xp website, it is service pack3. Then just burn the image to a cd, and then take out the cd and put it back in.

It should autolaunch on it's own when you puit it back in.
When it gives you your choices, select repair install, if it offers, otherwise just let it run as normal.
You won't lose any programs, because you are just replacing the operating system to fresh, not the files as well. All your programs should still be there, all the short-cuts, everything.

Then once it's done, eject the disk, and revoot.
Your computer should be good as new, and maybe even a little faster!

Hi:
Basically, you need to do four steps:
1) Run the Windows OS installation
2) Install all drivers off of the driver CD
3)Install programs and software that came with the computer, or ones that you added .
4) Connect to the internet, and validate your copy of windows, and run Windows Update again and again, until there are no more updates to download.

You can request a copy from microsoft but they will charge you. Do you have a recovery CD came with your PC? if not the best way is to ask your friends for the CD but use your own product key, it should be on the label on the computer. Good Luck :)
