Ag Aftermarket Generation Twoway LCD Vehicle Security System Aga2701 Logo
Nicholas Evans Posted on Sep 29, 2013

I have an Aftermarket Generation aga-2701 alarm already installed on my truck. the remotes got broke and I had to buy a replacement. My question is this: How do I sync the new remote with the system? I tried pressing the valet button 5xs and then the lock button for .05 sec then the unlock button the same as instructed but it won't learn the new remote. Does anyone have the PDF Manual for this alarm or know how to set the new remote?

TOPIC REMOTE Start,

ask maker for help
after market remote start system for sure ask them.
remote starts are dangerous so makers (mostly lame )
have lots of safety blocks and OEM ones in newer cars are 10x more strict.
  1. doors on car not closed and locked.
  2. battery in car weak.
  3. transmission not in park
  4. engine already running,
  5. key not off.
  6. Some have timer, that if not timed out ,starts are blocked.
  7. brake errors.
  8. OEM blocks on a huge list of engine or transmission errors DTC
  9. OEM windows not up.
  10. OEM alarm brains see cars being hacked.
  11. and huge list of more OEM , i pass. (lazy)
last: wire up wrong, or wire broke or fell off. or installed wrong.
No car told and most cars made now say this car will never ever allow non OEM remote starter to be added. (lawyers got smarter OEM)
some have timer to not allow CO ,carbon monoxide to kill everyone over the garage on the 2nd floor .(or near by)

The service light turned on, security light turned on and my car wont start after I tried to install a alarm system

Aftermarket car alarms/remote start systems are difficult to install in newer cars since many of them already have alarm systems and immobilizers in place. The aftermarket manufacturer will specify additional modules that must be purchased and installed in order to successfully integrate their product into your vehicle without causing conflicts. Some of these modules are expensive and some even require you to have a spare key for the vehicle to install into the module for it to work. Without more details on your vehicle (Manufacturer/year/model) and the alarm manufacturer ( and model), all I can make is generalizations as to what your problem is....

2003 pontiac grand am, installed an alarm system abt 2 yrs ago now it isnt working, cld it be a fuse if so isit easy to change?

The best alarm system only last about 5 to 7 years. If you bought a cheap one, pull it out. Every time I run into a security problem and they have aftermarket alarms/ remote starts. They come out. I'll get the car working right, but if want the alarm. You have to take it back to the place that sold it and installed it. Most likely you have to buy another alarm system.

Trunk release not working on aftermarket remote start/alarm.

Their Commando FM 870 has a remote transmitter pager and remote starter, allowing you to control your car from almost a half mile away. It instantly alerts you if your car is being tampered with ($169). CommandoAlarms.com is their website.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have a 98 accord the alarm remote will not do anything. I've replaced the batteries twice, still nothing. I've disconnected the battery on the car still nothing. The other day my son was in the car with...

As with most vehicle theft systems they have a life expectancy and the control unit may not be working correctly but try hooking the ground to a better stripped location. I usually find an area on the frame and sand off the paint then use a self tapping screw and reground it then try it if not purchase another aftermarket system and have it installed professionally most aftermarket systems are better anyways and last longer plus they come with warranty. Heres a good site to buy one at wholesale.
