Question about Audio Players & Recorders
Our projection for an optoma ep749 is faded. We still have 325 hours left on our lamp. Please advise what this problem might be. Also on the same day the remote will not scroll over to image 1 or image 11 tabs on the menu display for some reason. Never had this problem before. Please advise.
Despite the "hours left" on your projector, the lamp could be nearing the end of its life. Recommendations:
1. Make sure the vents and filters (if applicable) are clear of dust and debris.
2. Make sure the projector is well ventilated. (i.e. no obstructions around the vents)
3. Replace the lamp. They're around $200 on eBay. After replacing, reset the lamp timer (see your manual).
4. After replacing, run the projector in eco-mode if the brightness is acceptable. This will extend the life of your lamp.
5. Always let the projector cool down before unplugging the power or turning the master power switch off.
I don't know what would cause the inability to access all the menu options.
Hope this helps somewhat.

The procedure may vary from Sony model to model. These procedures are for Sony Rear Projections only. For other models, please consult your manufacter's website. All rear projections have the option of reseting the lamp hours. This helps since you will know how many hours your last lamp ran for. Normal lamps should run between 5000 to 8000 hours.
Try the following procedure:
