How long do I leave my cell phone in rice after it was dropped in water/

First be certain to take the back off the phone and of course any cases, then of course the battey. Pat everything dry as gently as possible and then completely immerse the phone battery and cover in the dry white rice. Try to lay the phone flat and don't "shake& bake" as this is likely to get pieces off rice in the phone. This can keep the phone from working or it may just rattle around in there forever which is annoying and a REALproblem if you get it wet again
Leave the phone for at least 24 hours then reinsert battery and try to charge up and turn on. Don't give up though..I've seen it take 3 days. Good luck and please let me know if I helped? :-)

My phone got wet....wont turn on. Any suggestions or is it fried?

The best thing to do with a wet phone is to not even try to turn it on...then place it in a bag of dry minute rice for at least a few days... check the rice...if it becomes moist, then change it and keep the phone in it until it draws the moisture out of the phone...after the phone is completely dry then try to turn it on...

I recently jumped into a pool with my cell phone in my pocket (SAMSUNG Reality). I realized it 10 minues or so after. Dried the phone. A day later, the phone will turn on when connected to charger...

When phone gets wet NEVER try to turn it on. Take battery out right away shake water off and put both in bowl of rice for at least 24 hrs. If your not home or don't have rice right away take battery out and get some. We have a bowl of rice on the counter all summer long for those who jump in the pool with phone in their pocket. I have washed them dropped them in the toilet my son jumped in pool with his phone, put it rice for 24 hrs and we were up and running with the exception of the one in the pool, that one cost me new battery on Ebay ($4.95) but phone worked fine, didn't even lose contacts or pictures. But the key is to NOT try to turn it on after its been wet. Water and batteries don't mix.

Wet phone; incomming calls cant hear me..

if you took the phone apart and let it dry but its still acting funny you very likely fried the computer board inside the phone. If the phone was on when you dropped it in liquid you probably did. Also, the lemonade having sugar has likely caused corrosion inside the phone. you could clean the inside of the phone with alcohol and see about getting it to co-operate, but be careful and keep yourself grounded and leave the battery out when you clean. You might be s-o-l

I turned my sony ericsson off imidiately turned it back on again, however my mobile would not turn back on. i havent dropped it or got it wet so i do not understand why this happened.

Take the battery and sim out, leave for a couple of minutes then put them back in. Leave the phone switched off and attatch the charger. Leave it charging until the battery shows 'full' then try turning it on again

My phone keeps turning on by itself even though it's already on. And the screen will contiuely turn white, especially when i slide the phone to start texting.

it sounds like either the screen is burned out or you dropped it in water or it got wet try getting a new battery and then try turning it back on it should work if not take to your local resaller they should be able to fix it for you if this doesn't work

Phone got wet EVERYTHING WORKS BUT no signal strength. Phone is new any suggestions. Samsung A737

the water inside the phone has not reached the electronic component luckly it just coved the golden metal which is the antenna thats the reason you are not getting the signal. take the battery out leave it turned off and dont use it for couple of days so that the wate inside the pnone can dry up and then you will get the proper signal.

V3 got wet

sorry to say this but a wet phone is ruined. You will have to take it to a tech at your phone server. They will either repair it or you will have to get another one. Water and phones do not go together at all. Sux.

Wet Phone

Sometimes you can save them by not turning it on and putting it in the hot water cuboard for couple of days, but if you have tried turning it on already... well sorry mate its got liquid damage and thats the worst thing you can do to a phone . Best advice replace it.
