Question about MPC Computers ClientPro 125D PC Desktop

MPC computer will not boot up in normal mode

When I mentioned crashed I should have been more specific. The machine will not boot up normally, only in safe mode. The drive appears fine.

I have a MPC Millennia computer

Thank you very much. That solved the problem thus far. I had forgotten about the restore option. So far it booted up fine in normal mode after the restore point. The failure to boot is strange. Nothing new has been added recently other than a new camera was plugged into the usb port to remove pictures from the SD card. This machine did have a similar boot problem when I first purchased it over 3 years ago with a usb multi card reader that was installed. Do you know anything specific about a usb card reader incompatibility issue with the MPC millenia.

When you boot up in safe mode, try a system restore to before you started having problems, worked for me a few times, if not you could try a windows repair but you will need a OS disk

if your using vista then probably yes, so many combatability problems with vista, its been out for ages and theres still so many driver problems. this could have been down to a corupt file thats been restored, ive restored so many pc's that way and never had a problem again.

if this is solved would you please rate this fixya

    thank you

Display driver stopped responding NVLDDMKM.SYS

Hi,

The problem is not the hardware but basically a driver that is corrupt. The graphcs driver thats crashing is one for nVidia, the fix for this is an easy one.

Restart the laptop and repeatedly tap the F8 key. This should take you to an advanced boot options screen. Use the cursor key to navigate to Safe Mode and hit the enter. The computer will start up using basic display drivers so the nVidia drivers won't load and crash the machine.

When the comuter has booted right click on My Computer (XP) Computer (Vista) and select manage from the sub menu.
When the window pops up select Device Manager.
A device list will populate. When it has look down the list for Display Adapters. Click on the + icon next to Display Adapters to it expands. Right click on the display adapter2_bing.gif and select uninstall.

Restart the computer and let it boot in normal mode.
If it boots2_bing.gif in normal mode let it detect the Display and install the drivers for it.
I would be a good idea to update the display drivers via the Acer Support2_bing.gif website or perform a Microsoft update and see if there any updated drivers for the nVidia graphics.

Regards.
