Problem for Sega Dreamcast Console

My dreamcast randomly resets itself!

My dreamcast randomly resets itself, and sometimes its more frequent then other times.
also, sometimes, it resets, the light is on but the screen is black.

i really need some help here because i found some great oldgames to play on it.

also, can anyone help me with scratched or partly cracked CDs?

-   my dreamcast in the past was regularly used.. but ... had one problem.. sometimes (which has got gradually worse) wud jump between on and ff,, if u get me.. resulting in it resestin itself.. now,, i turn it on and and don't get a picture.. somebody told me theres a problem with the mother board.. is this true.. and whats the solutions !!!! :) x-   mrscrocker

Its been a while since i've owned a dreamcast.My suggestion wouild be to make sure the parts on the inside are clean.Game consoles are known to collect a lot of dust over a long period of time.I would wipe it down with acohol, since it drys fast and leaves no residue.Your reset button might not be getting a connection.
