Dryer wont turn on about 5-years old we bought on saturday it ran for about 10 minutes and shut off and will not restart. When you hit the on button you can hear what sounds like electrical current but dryer wont start.

try turning off the power to the oven, take the plug out of the socket or turn off at the breaker (prefered) Leave it for 5 minutes to 10 and put it back on. By this time your oven will be reset to its original settings.

All gas appliances have a thermal cut out this will shut the gas off if the flame goes out the down side is when the thermal cut out becomes faulty it can shut the gas of when you are using the cooker the only fix is to replace the thermal cut out

try holding down the clock or time button, or try holding time/clock while hitting plus or minus.

you can press the clear off button for 3-5 seconds this should turn off the oven. if not turn off the circuit breaker for a few minutes then turn it back on and hit the clear off button again

The F9 code indicates there is a problem with the door lock.

Try disconnecting the power to the range for 10 seconds and reconnecting. Open the oven door and hold the door switch plunger in while you try these things. Put the control into clean for 5 minutes then cancel clean. You must hold the door switch plunger in for the 5 minutes.

Try canceling the clean cycle without putting the control into clean.

hold down the clock button for 3-5 secs. youve somehow toggled the clock dosplay off.

Control paned was blank, but interior lights were on and pushing control paned buttons resulted in beeps. You say the ovens went on and then later cut off.
Does the clean mode work?
Try the clean mode and see if it goes on.
Assuming it will clean!

Since the Range will clean you have confirmation that the proper power is reaching the range. It also verifies that the elements are in working condition. You will need to check the high temperature limit switch and the door latch mechanism. If either of these is defective, the bake and broil function will not operate properly
