Question about Garden

Fuel lines may be crossed, appears as though air is getting into carburetor.

I replaced the fuel lines, fuel filter and spark plug on my Echo PB200 blower. The blower will start and run for a few seconds before stalling. It appears as though air is getting into the return line. I think I may have crossed the return and supply lines at the carburetor. Could the blower even run if this were the case? Should the clear/yellow line be attached to the fuel supply line with the fuel filter? When I pump the primer bulb I can't get gas to enter the line unless the tank is full or I tilt the blower so as to feed gas to the clear/yellow line. I think I've been over thinking! I'm confused - can you help?! Thanks Dan

Echo trimmer wont start, i replaced fuel line and filter, spark plug still wont start

Krissie, there should be two fuel lines. also take the spark plug out and pull the cord a few times to blow out any gas or whatever out of the cylinder. then put the plug in the spark plug boot and pull it a few times holding the plug head next to the engine block to see if it has any spark. if it don't probably the coil or switch is bad, if it has spark put the plug back in and give the opening of the carburetor a squirt of carburetor cleaner and try to start it. it should start then. if it does and dies the carburetor needs to be cleaned or rebuilt.

Echo ES210 Blower will not start

Since you are getting spark from the plug it sounds like a fuel problem. I would check all the fuel lines and make sure they aren't plugged and ensure the filters are clear.

2 cycle Echo weed-eater is slow to start and once running it dies at idle. Only operates at near full throttle.

hello sir, my machine will only start when pumping primmer bulb or squirting fluid in the carburetor than stops. the fuel line has broken off, in most small carburetors this is a ongoing problem.old fuel will crystallize when left in tank for a long time.plugging up ports, fuel lines, small screen in carburetor.fuel lines will dissolve clogging carb.this is why it will run when the choke is on creating a vaccum to where there is fuel forced in the carb to rum, also the gas will evoporate leaving the oil behind clogging up carb.the thing to do is remove carb. and clean out, replaceing gaskets or fuel line if necessory.use carb cleaner to clean out carb.make sure to make note where fuel line go.the fuel filter broke off of fuel line letting debris get in carb plugging it up.the muffler is known to clog up a lot on these machines where thay want run. the compression should be 60 to 120 lbs any thing below 60 is junk. when adjusting the carb screws turn in all the way than turnout 1 1/4 turns turn in slow untail machine runs also you need to check for spark by removing plug and grounding aginst engine to chech spark, ok.a new spark plug would be a good ideal too , if you are going to make these repairs use new fuel line and filter, hope this helps, any comments welcome, thank you, ``

Idles rough stalls out whengiving it gas already replaced fuel filter air filter and spark plug

I have two suggestions for you to try. First is to clean the spark arrestor in the muffler assembly. Second is to clean the carburetor and replace the diaphrams. When you do this you will buy a carburetor repair kit that has a lot of pieces, this is a standardized kit that services multiple designs, so you will have extra parts. While you are at it, this would be a good time to replace the fuel lines, in-tank fuel filter, and the primer bulb.

I hope this is going to help get you going again.

Echo srm210, hard starting, runs poorly, acts like it is starving for fuel, dies

I would start by checking the condition of the fuel filter and fuel lines and progress to the carburetor from there. Make sure muffler is clear and air filter is not clogged. Your symptoms have all the signs of a dirty carburetor. Post back after checking condition of fuel tank, fuel filter, fuel lines, muffler, and air cleaner, and spark plug also.

I've replace the spark plug, put in fresh gas and tested it for spark. My CS 100 chain saw will not start. Any help would be appreciated.

The spark at the plug (gapped 0.020") should be blue and snappy. If ok, pour a little fuel mix into the plug hole and try for start. If pops several times, then you have fuel delivery problems. Check the fuel filter, air cleaner, and muffler for plugging. Check the fuel lines for decay or other damage. Make sure the primer bulb fills with fuel when pumped several times. If nothing, either the primer is damaged or the carburetor needs cleaning inside. While in the carburetor, inspect the lower chamber diaphragm for hardness or cracking. Go to: www.drystacked.com for a 12 page article on Walbro brand carburetor theory and troubleshooting. Hope that some of this helps!
