My lights turn on for maybe ten seconds, then shut off. I'll unplug the power pack, plug back in, same thing happens.

Bad transformer?
Copy following link for tips keeping the next power pack running longer, and warranty coverage on Intermatic/Malibu ML200 power pack.

Try plugging power pack into extension cord from different outlet,,, but if timer is keeping good time, I suspect the incoming voltage is adequate.

Will not turn on

Ensure all cables are plugged in properly, including the power cable and ensure the adapter did not come unplugged from the wall. Hold power button for ten seconds. If no response try pressing the eject button, maybe the power button is not working. You can also try and unplug the console and plug it back in and try to turn it on again.

Toshiba satellite will not turn on

LOL at your comment to take it to Best Buy to the Geeks.

When you plug in the power cord is there any lightswhatsoever on the laptop, where the plug goes in or on the AC Adapter of thepower cord?

When you press the power button do you hear fans running, hard drive spinning, lights on the computer, hear any beeps or lights constantly blinking, hear theDvD/CD drive click and the light on the drawer of the DvD/CD turn on for asecond or two? If so the laptop is trying to boot or may have booted, butthe screen is not showing for some reason.

Beep tones and blinking lights tells the technicians what is going on with thelaptop and why it is not booting. Most times it's a motherboard issuewhen you hear beeps or blinking lights continuous. Most times the problemis with the memory or Video Card. Count the Blinking Lights or Beeps and takenote of their pattern (1 Long or 1 Long followed by 2 Short).

Maybe your power cord is bad if you don't get anything to happen whatsoeverwhen you press the power button. And if that's true maybe you wasoperating off the battery the last time you had it on and since the power cordis bad, it was not charging the battery so the battery is drained and the powercord is bad.

Maybe you have a Static Charge Buildup. Remove the Power Cord, Remove theBattery, then Press and Hold the power button for 30seconds. After 30 seconds plug the power cord back in (leave the batteryout) and hit the power button to see if it boots. If it does, you can putthe battery back in and let it charge.Maybe your DC Power Jack which is where the power cord plugsinto the computer is bad. Take an ink pen and push the tip inside thejack and see if the little pin wiggles, if so the jack is bad. You'll have totake the laptop apart to fix it. Most times it is soldered onto themotherboard, so you will have to desolder the old and solder a new one.Maybe your memory is bad or the memory slot is bad.Remove the Power Cord, Open the Case and remove one of thememory chips. Set the chip aside then try rebooting the computer. If it boots, then you know the memory chip you set aside is bad so mark an x onit with an ink pen. If it fails to boot then move the chip to the nextmemory slot and try rebooting. If it fails take the chip out and set itaside, then put the other chip in and try booting it in both slots. If itboots, just to verify that the chip set aside is bad, mark an x on it and putit into the open memory chip slot and try booting.

My computer shuts down and I have to unplug the ac and remove the battery to get it to restart

Cold start issue. Your computer likes to be warm.

This could be because it has run too hot for a long period of time. Some damage is possible.

What you need to do is let it breath, airflow is important. Clean the intake and exhaust vents with a vacuum cleaner.

Always remove the battery from the notebook if using the AC power adaptor, unless you need to charge the battery. Maybe it's the battery that likes to be warm. Makes sense because a warm battery pack outputs more energy.

Power your notebook only off of the AC power adaptor, this may be the solution you are looking for.

Take care!

I have a dlink dir600. My problem is when i turn it on only power light glowing remaing not responding. Try reboot by click and hold the restart button at the back to use restore factory but no use it wont...

First reboot your modem(NOT the router), unplug for ten seconds and plug back in, wait til everything comes on. Now unplug the router, wait ten seconds and plug it back in. If it still does the same thing, reboot by holding the reset button down for 10 seconds and see if it restores to factory settings. If still no luck then there may be an issue with the router.

Same here!

Here is what you can try to do, Remove the batteries, don't plug in the ac adapter. Press and hold the power button for ten (10) seconds then release it. plug in the ac adapter on the computer without the battery, try to turn it on. If it turns on just wait for it to load then shut it down again, if it doesnt still have the display, press and hold the power button for ten seconds to shut it down. Unplug the ac adapter put the battery in and then try to turn it on, if it doesnt have a display still, there might be something wrong with the video cable, you need to have someone do it for you. If it happens that it turns on and have display it means that you need to have your ac adapter checked. if it happens the it turns on and have a display without the battery only, you need to have your battery checked. Hope this helps
