Question about Casio DR-210HT Scientific Calculator

Jammed gears Went to change ribbon and now gears will not turn - when I try to feed get "E" error. Will clear but feed gives "E" again. Opened another unit to compare and some thing happened. Now 2 units not working. There must be a gear release somewhere but I can't find it. Reset on bottom does nothing. Put top back on and still nothing. Thanks

Alignment of the gears is needed to solve this case. Although only authorized technician can only align these gears because it is too complicated.

Ink ribbon or paper roll error. the in ribbon is broken, or the paper roll is jammed. Clear the problem. I put new roll and ink cartridge in and still showing error

Happend twice to me. What sometimes happens is that the paper roll was not changed at the time the ink was. Therefore the paper roll was allowed to remain in the printer until the very last sheet. On the last sheet there is a sticker that says paper out. (stupid idea) This sticker makes the last sheet of paper too thick to fit through the last paper guide / feed. Because of this, the ink film breaks and that specific error message is displayed until that last piece of 4x6 is pulled from the paper feed. Clear that out, and all is good.. Change the paper every time u change the ink.

How to clear Paper Jams on your Printer

The flashing error code that indicates a jammed printer in the digital-age is equivalent to a flat tire. Sooner or later it happens to everyone, so you'd better know how to get things moving again if you want to finish your print job.

Turn the printer off and on to see if it can automatically clear some or all of the jam. Many printers provide an error-code listing on the front panel displaying the area where the jam occurred. If your printer shows an error code, be sure and check the printer manual to see if you can identify the area of the printer where the jam occurred.

Step 2
Turn off the printer.

Step 3
Remove any paper trays. Inspect the printer thoroughly for wrinkled or damaged paper.

Step 4
Open any other doors that give access to the printer's paper path and to the toner or ink cartridge.

Step 5
If necessary, remove the toner or ink cartridge. Place it in a bag or away from light to avoid damaging it.

Step 6
If you find a piece of jammed paper, remove it by holding it with both hands and pulling firmly. The goal is to keep the paper from tearing. If several pieces are jammed together, try pulling out the middle piece first to loosen the jam.

Step 7
If the paper does tear, try rotating the roller gears manually to free the paper. Don't exert great force as it may cause the paper to tear again.

Step 8
Replace the toner or ink cartridge and paper trays, close any doors you opened and turn the printer back on.

Step 9
If the printer paper jam message still appears, then there is still some paper jammed inside the printer. Inspect the paper path once again.

Error code E-04

I would check that there is nothing inside the paper feed system. The smallest piece of paper might cause a jam. Take the inks out and give the printer a good shake then put inks in and try again.

IHave you had a jam recently and pulled the paper out to clear it?

I'm having trouble with the Javelin J330i printer. When trying to print cards it doesn't pull them through correctly and then gives an error that the ribbon is broken. I have tried resetting the printer,...

check the feed tires ,the ones that feed the paper/cards into the printer. they maybe slick with paper dust. I recommend taking a cotton dish cloth or rag with some 409 cleaner on it the the feed tires clean all the paper dust off the tires let dry then try to feed card again. sound like the sensor is covered with paper dust, and is giving a false error.

Tec 572 printer gives "no ribbon" error with ribbon installed

You have to set the ribbon type to be "non-transmissive" for black transfer film.
To set the ribbon type, turn the printer off. Then press and hold the "feed" and "pause" buttons while turning on the power. The printer will now be in diagnostic mode - you can page through the menus until it says "ribbon type"
Pick the correct type and press the "pause" key to save the value. Then turn off the printer and turn it on again normally. The ribbon error goes away.

This is a notorious problem of the HP 7000 OfficeJet series, the last place we often look are the actual gears which feed the paper.

If you can't or wont' return the printer to the dealer or service center, then be prepared to follow the paper feed and using a pair of needle nose pliers, see how easily every feed roller turns by using the pliers and gripping the rubber wheels and rotating them in the direction of the paper feed

Any of the rollers that turn reluctantly or require excessive force have likely become jammed with paper shards in their gears and using a flashlight, look for any slivers or pieces of paper in the gear teeth.

Since the HP's are underpowered, all it takes is a paper sliver barely thicker than a few strands of hair to foul up the mechanism which appears to be as large as jammed **** to the printer sensors which is why you're recieving the Paper Jam warning despite the fact you've cleaned very visible sheet from the device.

Use any sharp instrument to clean those shards from the gears and close the lids to see if your Paper Jam errors have been cleared.

My company has hundreds of satellite offices and this is the most common issue since a paper jam is hard to clear in these devices, people often have to just rip the paper out backwards and it those "shrapnels of paper" that end up fouling the mechanisms.

An example of how to clear these gears is at an Amazon product review found here:
