The bracket usually attaches to the seatpost, frame or handlebars..I personally hate the brackets and toss them. Fastening thecable instead under the seat to the skinny rails, or over the handlebars or frame....Good luck to you...Tim

The bike makes a loud noise when pedaling

I suspect the crankset or bottom bracket. It can have the illusion of tightness when not moving, but "clunk" everytime you pres on the pedals. I would first make sure that the cranks are tight on the bottom bracket axle. This will require a metric wrench.

Got my brand new huffy a few weeks ago. everytime I shift gears, the chain comes off. we try to adjust the Derailleur, but the front one don't go all the way to the large sprocket. what do

If you purchased from a reputable bike dealer take it back. I have never heard of a dealer who does not offer a free checkup when the bike is a few weeks old because cables do stretch.

I have a broken derailer cable on an old huffy backwater bike where can I get a new one?

You can buy one from most neighbourhood bike repair shops. This should be a pretty standard item for them.

For a Huffy Pro Beach Series bicycle model #56289K, I need a replacement Speed Grip Shift assembly for the handlebar.

Identify the brand and model and hit the search engines, eBay, call a Bike Shop. It will need to be installed. NO ONE sells just one side. Consider an upgrade since you may be purchasing both sides.

Even the Huffy site doesn't refer to the bike by model number. What's it called?

We are not able to fix the seat for the bike, its not getting tight, could u help us ?

Most seats are bolted to the saddle pin with two sets of toothed brackets. If the teeth have been worn off, you'll need to get new brackets.

Where can i buy the cable part that clips in for the rear brake for my sons freestyler huffy bike NO MERCY?

This should be a fairly standard part found at just about any Bike Shop. If you have a shop in your area that specializes in BMX style bikes, it is a sure thing. Take the bike in so they can match up the part exactly and your good to go.

Need a bearing size or part number to replace a pedal bearing in a huffy stone mountain multi speed 26" bike

Pedal bearing or bottom bracket bearing? Your best bet would be to take it to a local Bike Shop and have them assess it.

I hav a problem with my huffy dual suspension bike, both shifter of front and rear deralluir it does not work.

i am not sure if your problem is with the shifters or the drailleurs, or just the cable tension. Start by shifting the front into the low gear and the rear into the high gear, then release the cables at the derailleur. Pull them both tight and retighten. If this doe snot work, go to and check out their step-by-step information on bike maintenance by clicking on the part of the bike you are having trouble with.

Hope this helps,
