Do a virus scan first FREE ANTI VIRUS Try here its free If you can not access or open IE right click in and select Properties then set the homepage to Blank! SOUND RECORDING\MIC ON USB CAMERA In Windows XP Select the proper Audio Input Device (Sound Recording) under the Audio Tab in Sounds and Audio Devices in Control panel. Usually it is name after the USB Camera. CONNECTION Check your connections on Rear part of your PC. Lime is for Sound Out usually a speaker, Pink is for Mic, Blue for Audio Input. CLEANING Using a dump clothe. Wipe the plugs with a twisting motion. If all fails then You may have a Sound Card problem. Using a spare Speaker or Headphone check it if it works. If its not then its Defective and needs replacement. If its working then your Speakers or Headphones are defective. Try fixing them by cleaning or checking the Continuity of its cables using a analog Multi tester.

No sound in yahoo messenger

Here's how to troubleshoot microphone and speaker problems:
1. Click the Messenger menu and select Preferences. The Yahoo! Preferences window will open.
2. Under Category on the left, click Voice & Calls. in version 9 or Video & Voice in version 10.
3. Check the microphone and speaker settings:
- For Yahoo! Messenger 9.0, test your selected speaker by clicking the little Play arrow beside it. Then test your selected microphone by speaking into it, if it's working you'll see an animated level indicator.
- For Yahoo! Messenger 10, test your microphone and speakers by clicking the Open Video and Voice Setup link.
4. Check your system volume by clicking the Speaker icon in the Notification Area of your Windows Taskbar, located at the bottom-right corner of your screen.
- Drag the Volume bar to the top.
Remember: If the little speaker icon below that volume slider has a red circle with a slash through it (no symbol), your sound is muted. Click that speaker once to turn off muting.
- Next, if that didn't work, go to the Mixer, located below the volume bar or access it by double-clicking the Speaker icon in the Taskbar. Make sure that none of the options has been set to mute, and that all levels are set to above 50%.
Your microphone and speakers should now be functioning properly.
Here are some additional things to consider:
- If you're using a headset, make sure that the jacks are plugged in to the correct connectors on your computer and that you haven't accidentally selected a mute switch.
- If you're using a USB headset, make sure your USB connection is functioning properly. Try using another USB device in that connection to test to see if it works.

How to play computer sounds through microphone

There may, of course, sounds from a microphone, because there is a speaker, but you can use sounds from a microphone or something speakers connected to the microphone system is played. Computer games, but might sound a bit complicated because they usually lead to loud sounds into the microphone to a number set.

1. Find the computer that you want to play sound. Go to Control Panel and click on "Hardware and Sound." Under "Sound" in "Changing the system sounds." You can access various Windows sounds by selecting them and clicking "Test".

2. External speakers to the sound card or audio output on a laptop. With active speakers is recommended, the stronger the better. Set the microphone in front of the speaker.

3. Connect the microphone and play the sound from computer speakers. That should pass the microphone for recording or performing live.
Hello there!

Hmm...your problem is not that explained

If you are having troubles to hear her responses, tell her to volume up her sound input (in this case, microphone) and you volume out your sound output (this case, your speakers) , that would be it!

No Transmitting, no RX sound, but can hear speaker click on...

Hi there!!

The symptom sounds like a bad Microphone connection or a bad microphone!! The Cobra has a built in circuit that wont allow you to hear anyone until the microphone is plugged in and the no transmit part will also do the same. Try another microphone that is wired right for that radio before you do anything else!! let me know!!

Reciever only allows 2 channels(speakers) at a time.

If the amplifier is not receiving a surround sound signal, you will get nothing from the rear speakers and probably nothing from the front centre. Play a dvd in dolby surround and it will work.
