Hi there,

I am going to just have a few guesses at your problem as "nosound" doesnt really clarify it enough =]

If your onboard sound isnt working, You could try looking for an audio driver for this particular motherboard. Google "Intel D865GRH Onboard Sound Driver"

If you are using audio ports in a computer Case, make sure they are connected correctly to the motherboard, or use the audio ports on the back of the board.

Onboard sound does break on some of these older boards, Try using an external soundcard. (PCI or AGP) or a USB one. I picked a 7.1ch USB soundcard up off ebay for $8 and it works fine on all my old motherboards.

Hope this helps you, Best of luck.

Sound drivers download

If it is a soundcard which is combined in the motherboard then find the name of the motherboard (use system information or speccy or siw) And then go to the motherboard manufacturers website and download from them direct.(Google!)
If it is a separate soundcard then find the name of the soundcard as before and go to the soundcard manufacturer's website and download

How can i install audio without using a CD audio installation?

Is this a ON-BOARD soundcard, meaning it came with the motherboard? or is it a aftermarket PCI or similar sound card added in later?

if it is a on-board soundcard, get your motherboard details (get this by opening panel on computer and look for markings on motherboard) and then go to the manufacturers website, go to the support tab and search for your motherboard model and you can get the driver as a free download.

same can be said for and after-market soundcard..grab details and checkout manufacturers website. there you can dowload the appropriate drivers!

hope this helps,ben!

Total system crash, reinstalled windows xp,but now have no sound, cant find sound driver , looked on web, everything has a FREE scan!! what can I do please help

To find the dirvers for your soundcard you need to know the model of your motherboard (unless you have a descrete soundcard ?). There are 2 ways to find this.

1. Open the case, using a torch or well lit room try to find some markings that look like a model number and write them down.

2. Download CPUID from install / open it and look under the motherboard section for your motherboard model number.

You can then find the manufacturer of the motherboard unsing google and then the sound card drivers. Do NOT use any driver scanners they are probably malware or virus carriers and will not fix your issue.

If you can't find the drivers using the model number, reply to this post and i will find them for you :)

Not working

Go to the computer manufacturers website. Look for -> Support.
It may state Support & Downloads. On the Support page, type your computer model name and model number in the search box. Click on the down arrow to the right of the box, or it may have -> Go.

Choose the Operating System you're using.

On this page look for Drivers & Software Downloads. Click on it. Now click on the drivers you need, and download them. Click on Run, and click on Run again. Ignore the Microsoft 'Squawk Box'.
After you have downloaded and installed all your drivers, restart your computer.

Or, go to the motherboard manufacturers website, and enter the model number of your motherboard in the appropriate box. Click on go, to the right of the box. Click on Drivers downloads.

Now, if you don't have the CD that came with your sound card, go to the soundcard manufacturers website. Enter your soundcard model name and number. Look for the drivers.

In the other devices the pci device driver is missing . i can not hear sound.

Check to see if what kind of soundcard you are using. If it is a onboard soundcard in your motherboard, you need to check the manual for your motherboard producer.

Many motherboards uses the Realtek soundcard, the drivers for this soundcard can be found here.

Good luck, and please rate this solution if you find it helpful

best regards,
