Question about Emerson LC320EM9 32 in. LCD HDTV
One night we were watching a movie and the next morning our tv would flash on then turn right off. can you help me with this problem?
Yep, the inverter transformer on the Power Supply Board burned out. It's one of 5 inverters that powers up the screen.
If one is burned out, it will not have enough juice to power the screen and goes into protection mode like it's doing right now.
You'll have to replace the POWER SUPPLY/BACKLIGHT INVERTER BOARD. The cheapest place runs for about $90.
I'm not sure which one you have, there are 2 different boards for that TV. The board number should be in white on your board.
Here's for the BA8AF0F01031
And here's for the BA8AF0F01032
It's definitely cheaper than buyig a new TV. That what I did to fix mine. :)
If you throw your old board in the trash, I would like to keep it for research if possible. Here's my e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org
