This may indicate a problem with the signal processor IC (Integrated Circuit)or the color burst signal might have insufficient amplitude which would also lead back to the signal processor IC. You will need a schematic to find the IC and you will need a multimeter and an oscilloscope to view the video waveform. If you do not have a background in electronics do not attempt this repair on your own please take the set to a qualified repair shop. The loss of color points to the loss of the color burst signal or the failure of the video circuitry to respond to the color burst signal.
