I have Frigidaire model # GLD2250RD0. I recently removed the lower sprayer assembly to clean the trap. But now that I've done this, I the assembly seems not to sit correctly, and sometimes becomes dislodges, The washer makes a clunking noise and it appears that the top arm isn't working. What have I done wrong?

What brand and model number is it?

Your model number indicated is a letter and a number short of being complete. Go to this site, on the home page scroll down, on the bottom left there will be a 'model number lookup', pick your model and enter you model number. From there you will find schematics of your machine, exploded views that will show you exactly where everything goes. Hope this works for you.

How do I put together the filter, housing and spray are together?

I would do an online search for an exploded parts diagram or check Ebay, etc for pics from someone wanting to sell the item.

Your situation must be the reason many folks (not you and I !) take photos of their work!

Best wishes.

Dish machine sticks in rinse cycle

Check the solenoid valve on the rinse piping at the top back of the machine. shut water off and take the coil and the top off of the solenoid, carefully remove the innards (so as not to lose them and to remember how they went together) check for debris inside and clean out. Put it back together and try it. If that doesn't work, you will need to replace the solenoid valve. Cost is around $100 at Grainger for a suitable valve or if you want factory part, it is around $350 from Hobart.

There is a valve? leaking in the back, where can i find a new one?

If the valve is the round shaped one with two hoses going into it .that is the vacum breaker. Most likely a 3/4" you can get these at plumbing supply try just unscrewing the guts clean with delimer and unscrew the guts from the new one and screw them in.unplumbing the old vacum breaker can be tricky.the plastic fitting some times break.I use a 1/2" wire brush for plumbing to clean the vacum breaker houing.with delimer remember take your time and always back up your plumbing fittins with another wrench as not to put any stress anywhere else.

Cleaning out spraybar

The spray bar has a ring at its base - its between the spray bar and the floor of the dishwasher. Its notched so its very easy to grip... turn it counter-clockwise. It is probably on there pretty tight but it will come loose. I just turn the spraybar upside down and run water through the hole in the base... each of the holes on the spray bar should be checked to see if there is any debris poking out- use tweezers or something small enough to fish the debris out of the little holes. If you really wanna clean it thoroughly.... see the screw at the base underneath? unscrew it but make sure you remember the sequence of the parts so you can put it back together!

I also suggest you remove the mesh filter at the very back of the dishwasher floor and clean that. Take a flathead screwdriver (or table knife) and lift up the screen at the left side - you'll see a spot where its notched. Once you get that lifted a bit, you'll notice the right side is still attached... slightly turn the screen counter-clockwise (or toward you) until it pops out. If you've never cleaned that before - be prepared for the YUCK you're gonna find!!! eeewww!

Have fun and good luck!

The upper spray arm has popped off. How can we get inside to put it back on? Can we unscrew the jagged disk thing to get to the part?

Take your time and remember where everything goes. Maybe even take pics if you get to a complicated part. I took my whole dishwasher apart and found a popcorn kernel stuck in the food grinder. Never force anything and everything should be OK. One more thing, if your dishwasher is kind of loud, put some insulation under it behind the front base plate. My washer has never sounded so good. Gook luck.

Mama, cleaning the filter on this is pretty easy. If you look at the lower spray arm, I believe that it just snaps on. Should be some clips on the lower part holding it on. Remove the spray arm and grab the filter trap handle. Turn it to the right or left 45 degrees and it will lift out. It's keyed to lock on and off. Now you can remove the filter and look right down into the sump. Just take your time and remember the position order so you can reverse it when putting it back together..This is for the model back.
