Question about Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) Console
I just got a new seagate 500gb hardrive and I changed it with the one in the ps3 wich is 80gb and every time I try to format it from the ps3 it says " An error occurred during the format operation. (8002F271) " I dont know if any one has had this same problem?
First you will need to connect the hard drive to your computer or a friends, either using a hard drive enclosure or cable
Then you need to format the drive into fat32 format (full format recommended , not quick format)
Then put it back into your ps3 and have a usb flash drive with the latest ps3 software loaded
then you will be able to format the drive and load the ps3 os
