Question about NetGear DG834G Router
I have just bought Asus eee 1000H-XP.
It will connect to internet and Outlook through McDonald's wi-fi, and invites me to provide the password for my neighbour's D-Link .... but even though it picks up our LAN, it will not allow me to connect through our Netgear DG834Gv2 router. The message says that the network is not in range, but I'm sitting right next to it and the signal is full strength. Have uninstalled and re-insalled the LAN driver, and have added the MAC address to the Netgear user list. Have also changed the channel from 5 to 11. Any ideas?
Hi try this troubleshooting steps:
Delete the preferred networks of this computer, Check the Internet connection of the Netgear and modem if working properly. Check physically your network connections, make sure that they are connected properly.
