Re: My Phone is being STUPID!! HELP!!
Hi Heather The media card on the handset is not installed properly and not in the right mode Please try these steps out 1. To install a memory card into your device Go to Options > Media Card. 2. Enable Mass Storage Mode by changing the option to “On” 3. Change “Auto Enable Mass Storage Mode When Connected” to Yes. 4. Connect the device to the PC 5. A Dialog will pop up 6. Select “Open A Folder to View Files” 7. Memory card will display all the folders on 8. Navigate to the BlackBerry folder 9. Navigate to the ringtones folder 10. Drag the ringtone downloaded from the PC into the ringtones folder.
Please do let me know whether the problem is solved or not. Remember the first three steps are most imortant as that is where you install the media card and set it to the right mode Good Luck and lets hope for the best
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Prepare your memory card for formatting. Decide whether you would like to format using your phone or your computer. If you decide to use your computer, remove the micro memory card from your phone and place it into the memory card adaptor. If you decide to use your phone's removable memory card slot, insert the memory card into the phone while the phone is off, before turning on your phone.
2Navigate to the menu and select your phone options. Locate the menu that includes the technical list; you should see "Media Card" or "Memory Card" listed as an option. If your phone has a separate menu for Memory options, look within this for your memory card menu option.
3Access the memory card menu and click "Options." Be sure that memory card support is enabled. Next, select "Format." This may be found listed or you may need to click on the menu within the memory card menu you have already accessed. After selecting the format you may have the option to choose between formatting the media card and/or the device memory. Select "Media card" if confirmation is required. Keep in mind you will be losing any data previously stored on your card.
4Select OK when your phone asks you to confirm format. Your memory card will now be formatting to your phone and a progress bar may appear. Do not power off or navigate away from this screen. When formatting is complete, your phone will notify you and the progress bar will no longer be visible. You may need to confirm with an "OK" that your memory card has finished formatting.
5For Windows users who wish to format using a computer, place the micro memory card within the adaptor and insert it into your computer's memory card slot. You can also connect to your computer using an external adaptor if your laptop doesn't feature one built in. After connecting the memory card, select "My Computer" within your Windows menu. Select your memory card, which should be listed within this folder. Right-click on the menu and select the format. Your computer settings will prompt you to accept the format and complete the process.

Cellphones have a nasty habit of being very picky about how their memory cards are formatted (especially verizon phones). You will need to plug it into a computer and remove everything off of it. Most multi-media card readers will accept this format of flash media. If you still wish to use it in your phone afterwards you'll have to let it format it.
Your music may be located in a folder your phone doesnt recognize...that happend to me at first.
First you want to format your memory card through your phone. This will place the required folders on the card.
I used Windows media player to sync the music on my computer to the memory card using a media port on my computer. (just inserting the card directly to my computer). Once music was downloaded I looked at the card through "my computer", and noticed folders...one named "Music" and the other named "My Music". I moved the files from "Music" to My Music". Reinserted the card into my phone and the phone picked them up.
