SOURCE: kenmore side by side refridgerator ice around freezer fan

I am looking up your refrigerator to see the right parts. Sounds like the defrost cycle is not happening. look for a defrost or adaptive defrost board. Check your model number again because I am not able to find the number listed. I will continue to check for the correct refrigerator and if you find a simple defost timer turn it clockwise slowly until you feel and hear a click. If you do and you may hear the elements heat up inside the freezer. If that happens just put a new defrost timer and you should be set. Sea Breeze

Whirlpool model gb22dkxgw00 bottom freezer working ok but refrigerator is warm i think the fan is not working but how do you get to it?

Good day,
You access the fan motor after removing the rear panel in the freezer compartment.
Changing the motor is pretty much a nuts and bolts job, but like all bottom freezer models it's somewhat akward to remove the shelves ect. to get to the panel.
Time and patience is your friend here.

Freezer is not working; light (power is on and I think the fridge side is working

You probably have a bad fan motor in the freezer. When you hear the compressor running, open the freezer and listen for the fan. It is located in the back of the freezer. To access the fan, remove everything from the freezer. Locate the screws holding the back panel in place and remove them. With a voltmeter, check for voltage on the terminals of the fan while the compressor is running. If you have voltage and the fan is not running, replace the fan. You can buy replacement fans on-line, at your local appliance parts store, even ebay. Get the model number of your refrigerator, and you can easily locate the part you need.

Fan in freezer not working

If this is a top freezer , then replace the fan motor . You will have to remove the inside rear freezer panel for access .
If this is a side by side , do the same , unless it's a GE side by side . This will depend on the model number .

Evaporator fan noise. How do I access the evaporator fan motor to replace it?

Turn off the refrigerator. Remove the freezer shelving and bins. Remove the screws holding the rear panel inside the freezer. Repair or replace the fan motor.
You may also have to remove bin supports from the side wall to get the panel out depending upon your model. The model number posted is incomplete.

Haeir HRF10 refrigerator

Remove coil on back of refrigerator very gently and support the coil against a kitchen chair or counter. On the back of the refrigerator there is an access panel. Remove 4 screws holding the cover. Remove the bottom of the freezer compartment by removing screws and pulling bottom straight out. Remove Styrofoam panel from freezer by cutting tape along side edge. Once the Styrofoam panel is removed you will see fan blades. O n the front of the fan blade there is a spring. Pull the spring off by pulling straight forward with pliers or fingers. Remove the 3 screws holding the fan motor to the refrigerator in the rear access panel. The Motor should now be free. Unplug the plug from the connector by lock latch and pulling straight up. Now you must free the fan blade from the fan motor. Grasp the fan motor and pull straight out. This fan blade is really hard to get off. Try separating the two halves of the blade, where you removed the spring, with a screw driver. The motor is available from Repairclinic.com. Good luck.
