mY RCA LYRA MC5102A was purchased in july, when I turn it on, the screen says BOOT ERROR, SHUTTING DOWN, what does this mean and how do I fix it? I need HELP, PLEASE.

I have the same problem.

Whenever I boot it up it says "Boot Error Shutting Down"

Had same issue with mine, right out of the box! I called support, they sent me to some 3rd party support company... That place told me to return to vendor. Thompson Support. They basically just tried going to the RCA website, found nothing there, and finished up with return to store...

id just like to say i had my RCA LYRA MC5102A for a full month until this problem happened and what i did was i deleted all my files on the device and put them back on and it fixed mine ... for now we will see what happens in the future but you should try this it took me about 20 minutes to do about 400 songs or so but it was worth it

it means the player has low initial battery power. fully load the battery - it won't show the battery sign - and then try turning it on.

i had the same message at the beginning.

just press the reset button on the back and then you can put your songs back on
