Re: danby 22in dishwasher isnt getting enough water

I had same issue yesterday
took off cover and on right side there are two clear rubber hoses, one running from the main pump to about 3/4 up the side of the washing chamber.
it has some gunk plugging the end attached to the chamber.
clean it out with a toothpick and now it works.

There are a few things to check. 1. Do you have enough water pressure in your lines? It may not be filling enough. 2.Is the washer balanced? Try making sure that its on a level surface. 3. Make sure that your hose isnt kinked, and check the back in the screen to make sure it isnt clogged. 4. Is it above the height of its supply? If so, try finding a lower space to put it on. 5. Take a cup or two of vinegar and run it through a cycle. 6. make sure that, in the arm, there is no clogs or food. I'm not 100% sure what the problem is, other then its not pumping water into it at first and sounds like its blocked some where down the line. If you've never cleaned it with vinegar before, I'd imagine that would be the problem. Hope this helps

Danby Designer Dishwasher sprayer arm stopped working

is anything in the way of the arm? Sometimes you can't see an item sticking down too low ... interfering with the spinning.

Dishes not getting clean

Check the following to address this issue.

1. No water
Make sure you get water to the dishwasher. Check to see if the water shut-off valve (located under the sink) is open. If you get water to the dishwasher, but there is still no water inside during the fill cycle, the problem might be with a faulty water valve (located at the bottom of the dishwasher, behind the kick panel, on either side), in which case replace the water valve.

2. Not enough water
If there is not enough water, the dishes would not get cleaned. This could be caused by a partially closed water shut-off valve (located under the sink), or a faulty dishwasher water valve (located at the bottom of the dishwasher, behind the kick panel, on either side).

3. Clogged spay arms
There is usually two, sometimes three spray arms in a dishwasher. Make sure there is no debris blocking the holes inside each spray arm.

4. Water temperature is too low
To get the best results, the water has to be at 120 degrees Fahrenheit when entering the dishwasher.

5. Not enough soap
If you only fill one part of the soap cup, try adding soap to both parts.

6. Smoky film on dishes and glasses
This problem occurs due to excessive calcium build up inside the dishwasher. Try cleaning you dishwasher using a dishwasher cleaner.

Dishes all cloudy and spotty. Maytag Intellisense plus 1996 dishwasher. I have real hard water that leave white calcium build up. I can remove and clean all of the lower spray arms and filter. How do I...

The problem is hard water. Go to They have a new product out that solves this problem once and for all. It filters the water entering your dishwasher and removes the hard minerals that cause these spots. Very affordable and guaranteed to leave your dishes looking amazing every time.

Bottom Spray Arm Not Rotating

check to make sure you are getting enough water entering the dishwasher. If you add a liter of water, does the water arm turn then? If so, you may have a faulty water valve that is not allowing enough water to enter to turn the spray arm. Hope that solves it :)

Top arm not spinning

only the top rack isnt getting clean?
there is a little plastic circle in the middle of the bottom of the upper spray arm. turn it counter clock wise to pull the upper spray arm from the upper rack. make sure that isnt clogged and the spray holes are not clogged. otherwise....

the piece that the bottem spray arm plugs into and runs along the back wall of the tank to the top is called a feed tube. pull the bottom spray arm out. now you can see the part of the feed tube that feeds the upper spray arm water. does it pop out freely and easily? if so then you need a new feed tube, if not then its most likely your not achieving the right water level or your impeller connected to your circulation pump(motor) is clogged not supplying enough water pressure to travel up the feed tube to spin the upper spray arm.

Maytag jetclean eq plus dishwasher: soap problem

This could be due to 2 problems: not enough water or water is not being pumped hard enough through the system. The 'not enough water' is easy to check - open the door in the middle of a wash cycle. If you have enough water (about 1" or more) then that is probably ok. The 'not pumping hard enough' could be as simple as plugged up filters and holes in the spray arms. Remove the racks and disassemble the lower spray arm and the filter assembly all the way down past the screen. Clean the arm holes, throughly clean the screen, clean everything. Pull the top spray arm and throughly clean the spray holes there. Put it all together and run a cycle. You should see a pronounced increase in the sound of the water spraying around. This should fix your problem - it did for me.

Danby DDW396 Spray Arm

The spray arm is controlled by the force of the water. There is no motor running the spray arm. If water is not getting to the spray arm, then it won't spin. It may be plugged with detergent etc. Just a note re. detergent. You shouldn't use hard or caked detergents.
